Wow, that was a long day for you John. I was lucky enough to be MD of a company a few miles away from the Belfry for several years, so got lots of opportunities to play all three Courses on site. IMO the Brabazon is too hard to play unless you are group 1 player, but everyone always wanted to play it just for the experience. For a purely fun round, the Darby course is the best one of the 3. Whilst the PGA Course is ok but has some of the deepest bunkers I have ever seen, not for the faint-hearted. I went down for a weekend recently and after the refurb, the hotel is pretty special!

Hi there my friend. It’s a stunning location now with fabulous amenities and I hope to go back and try all the courses when I can. I think for me The Brabazon was a Course like I had never encountered before. Super tough approaches to greens, almost all seriously defended by water of some kind and the fairways needed careful distance planning due to the amazing array of bunkers that zig zagged in and out and kept me guessing all the time. Would love to try again sometime though and there were many many golfers there trying it out. The place was packed.

@@BIGOGGIEGOLF It usually is pretty packed in the summer. As I remember the Pro shop was damn special as well, I still have plenty of gear with the Belfry logo on it (and some of it still fits, well nearly) lol

Great video John. I lived round the corner in Tamworth and played all 3 courses a few times. I live in Weymouth now so come over to Dorset for a game. Keep up the good work.

I hired a e buggy trike thought they was too quick and lot of power going on lights and such which you dont need great idea but the speed will rip fairways up. IMO

Hi Gary I will pass on your concerns to the makers of the eCaddy but as far as I know everything is legal and perfectly allowed on courses. The demonstration one is a road legal version so can be used on and off the course so that one may have been more powerful.

Ha ha ha... I did ok out of bunkers funnily enough. But my problem is my shots are usually low running ones as I play lInks most of the time and there were so many greens protected by water or ditches I had no chance... lol. Would love todo it again sometime in the future though x

Hi there Ian, Smithy now works for Exeter Chiefs the Premiership Rugby team on there media section so his free time when we can meet up is extremely limited. I saw him briefly at Exeter Golf and Country Club when we went up to see Liam from GolfvlogsUK on his tour, but I didn’t make a film.
