The Darkness: Your power is in the darkness. Johnny: OH MY GOD, I KNOW!!! Johnny continues to dance in the light getting shot. I'm not so sure you do know, Johnny.

Sack a remake it needs another sequel!

Lee Russell- a sequel that wasn’t trash which I thought the darkness 2 was unfortunately... I’d settle for a RE2-style remake tho with proper blood and gore effects 👌🏻

@@LOSTBHOY88 I loved darkness 2, different strokes
@LOSTBHOY885 жыл бұрын
Lee Russell- well trash was maybe a bit strong of a word to use... disappointing maybe. The art style and general feel of it was a lot different to the dark and grimey feel of the first game. But we can both agree that any sort of sequel would be much appreciated 👍🏻

You should do riddick: escape from butchers bay one day. I miss the game engine starbreeze used. It was clunky to control and the visuals were dark but the games stood out and were interesting to explore

Good game, certainly better than The Cornicles of Riddick film, all though how they give him eye shine was a tad disappointing.

The Darkness was awesome at the time. Not many interactive, pseudo-immersive sim games releasing at the time (especially on PS3). 14 year old me loved it, although I do have conniptions about getting the 100% trophy. All those subway missions and the WWI hellscape, eek.

The opening sequence reminds me of a first person Crazy Taxi for some reason.... oh god now I really want a new Crazy Taxi game now... I absolutely loved Crazy Taxi on the Dreamcast of all consoles... 😢 I miss the Dreamcast so much, such an amazing console with some amazing games...

This is probably my favourite FPS, the powers were mind blowing back then and the story got me into the comics. I also like how immersive this is, only the metro series gave me a similar feel.

"Bill Skins Fifth" in the paper vending machines in Silent Hill is a reference to The Silence of the Lambs - the same tabloid front page appears on the FBI's evidence board in the film. And speaking as a New Yorker, Ian's New York accent was...about as good as my Midlands accent, so let's call it a draw.

Yes, a game that tickled my dark heart. It had a fair few clunky bits, like managing the minions was a pain in the arse sometimes (or I was sloppy), but really did enjoy it. The phone numbers you could find everywhere and ring were quite cool, funny side stories. And I could listen to Mike Patton talk darkness all day. Never picked up the odd sounding sequel. Might not be so much fun to replay this in 2019, but... ccomme, plaayyy with the darknnessss, Jaaaacckieee. Jaaaacckieee.

What really threw me when I started playing this game was that Jackie doesn't reload his guns, and instead will drop them and pull out new ones. Cuz he's so badass, and it looks cooler that way. As someone who obsessively clicks reload every time I drop an enemy, after the halfway point in the game I began to keep running out of guns, and really struggled.

The fact that the Rasmus released "In the Shadows" in 2003 makes me fairly confident that it wasn't about this game. Unless they were time travellers, but I expect they'd of had more success if they were.

To be fair to Johnny, the game doesn't seem to demarcate shadowed from lit areas very clearly, which would make keeping to the dark a bit of a faff; sort of like trying to play a stealth game without vision cones.
