Really enjoyed the bat rep guys! Rohan and Isengard are my two favourite armies in SBG. Lurtz killing Theoden outright was a surprise! Couple of small errors I noticed for your future reports: -You cant move within 1" (control zone) of an enemy model unless you are going to engage them. So one of your riders couldn't have charge Vrasku in that first charge. -If a Cavalry model wins a Duel on a turn in which it charged, all the infantry models engaging it (except those with Str6 or more) are Knocked Prone. Not just one. -If a model chooses to Stab and loses the fight, they suffer a Str2 hit after the fight is resolved (doesnt matter that you shielded)

I thought Rohan was going to smash because of the intimidating Calvary numbers and ranged attacks in the beginning. It was cool to see Lurtz lead his band of savages to what i thought was an unexpected victory!

Isengard seemed really powerful - they spend half the battle doing near-nothing and getting shot up, but still took the victory in close combat. I guess the smart thing for the Rohirrim player to do would have been to just stay at range as much as possible and kite?

First off, let me say thanks for pumping out the batreps Ash! I recently learned about the new 2 player starter for this and have been investigating it. I also recently received my Kickstarter pledge for A Song of Ice & Fire and lo an behold, look who ALSO has a batrep out for that? Looks like I'll be heading back to the patreon page again! Had to take a break for a while but I'll be supporting again soon. Also, it's pretty damn clear which game you enjoyed playing more. :) The ASOIAF batrep seemed like you were struggling to get to the end. I'm not giving up though, I sunk a chunk of money into that game so I'll be getting my damn money's worth, one way or the other!

I am curious to know what house rules you are using, because I noticed that you house-ruled how special strikes and cavalry charges work. Normally cavalry knocks down ALL opponents in the battle, unless another cav is involved, and special strikes are per model and not declared by any one model. Yet, you nerf cavalry by making them knock down 1 model as well as making it that 1 model may share their hand weapon with other models. Also houseruled Stab to be a loss of defence, when normally it is a Str 2 hit that the stabbing model takes automatically.

Nah, it's still there, I meant his first turn of shooting, he moved then rolled 4s...but it was his first game you said? I liked the report overall. Some LOS blocking terrain in the middle of the board would help too.

its page 39. for the move and fire negative. throwing spears and throwing weapons dont suffer it on the charge now but the bows would have hit on 5s

Good guys can't shoot into combat... you also ignored enemy zone of control when you first charged with Theoden. You have to attack the first enemy whose zone of control you enter.

Im confused, what did you do at 22:49? Owen wanted to declare a heroic move then Ash spent a point of might and just moved as normal? If both players want to call a heroic move the player with priority rolls a dice, 123 evil gets the move and 456 the good player gets it.
