Dedicated police officer Shanna Walton was forced to resign after stepping on the toes of the rich and influential. Dead set on exposing the corruption, she's working her way up in politics and writing "fictional" crime novels. Her roommate, Ivy Dalton, shares her fascination with crime. Her job as a nurse isn't exactly scratching that itch, but perhaps other opportunities will open up given time.

right off the bat, i wanna say that shanna being a family sim, while having fortune as her second aspiration makes quite a lot of sense! especially when taking into account that she has a sister with a 3 children + a husband, while being financially stunted. so it makes so much sense that as the youngest sister, she admires her sister for having a family, but also has a fear of being in a similar financial situation. the second that you brought up ivy’s relatives, my first thought was: poor hailey! we were so close to seeing her this episode, but so far away at the same time, lol! but, at least she has a few established connections with her peers already. christy and celeste being so enthused to talk to ivy is very cute; you can tell that they’re very excited to make friends with likeminded sims; even if ivy and shanna don’t necessarily look like people they’d befriend. (conversely, i could also see shanna being good friends with lilly miller! especially since lilly is very interested in joining the intelligence career track. i think she’d be very interested in hearing shanna’s experience on the force. who knows? maybe that friendship could lead to a new career path for shanna if she doesn’t go back to the law enforcement career!) oh, i love how easily you tied in shanna’s film and literature hobby with her background! i could definitely see her having an interest in true crime. and i think it’s very believable that she’d spend her free time drafting true crime novels (‘loosely’ based on her experiences in the police force) while she works in politics. i could definitely see her getting back into the force that way. something about shanna screams action; i think she likes the hustle and bustle of being on the police force, and politics is something she’s passionate about as a formerly disenfranchised sim, but it’s not a picture perfect fit for her long-term. i’m very interested to see where her story goes! i’m so in love with all of the characters in this downtown series; they’re all so interesting! and you craft their stories so well! excellent video, as always!

Yeah I agree, it was super sweet to see the four of them get along so well, despite not looking like people who would have a lot in common. It made it even more exciting to see their friendships grow. You know what, I was actually also thinking of Lilly Miller while editing this episode. I'm sure she'd get along great with this group of girls! Yey I'm glad you found Shanna's interests and character believeable - it was nice seeing that fall into place. I agree with you, she does seem like someone who thrives on action. A lesser person might have spent the rest of their life hiding, but not Shanna. Ah, glad you got to the other set of female roomies. Makes me more excited to see their families when we do their round. Though you also haven't done Christy Raha's family either (from the first set of female roomies). Ah, and Ivy is the 'famous' Hailey's sister. I feel bad for Hailey, her big sis is played first when she's been trying to befriend the teens at every turn.

great episode! i gasped when i saw a notification, was so so waiting for it i've got an little idea about ivy... seeing that her lifetime wish is connected to intelligence, what if she's like a medic that works for intelligence forces, the one that looks at crime scenes/clues from medical standpoint? or wants to work as such. like in those police procedural tv series. interested to see how their stories will turn out!

Thank You for another great episode in this series. Love the two roomies. I can totally see Ivy as Abbie from NCIS doing the forensic work for the police department or the SCIA. You could use the intelligence level 3 Crime Scene Investigator for her. She might also be interested in tatooing if Lakshmi should have a teacher (with medical training) or a canvas. Interested how you will play different parties, I never thought about that for my sims! I can see Celeste i a green party, but you are right Shanna might be in the tough on crime party which atleast normally do not fit with a green party (at least not in Denmark). Hope you explore this later if you make a townhall. :) Ray is going to be really popular it seems, might cause some jelouxy from his brother. xD

She'd definitely work as a living canvas for Lakshmi! Oooh playing parties would be very interesting - a bit tricky to post on yt though I feel, political topics are often pretty sensitive. ive never considered having intelligence connected to law enforcement. ive always connected it to military

It's a bit of a mix I feel like - it's close to both but it's also its own thing. 🤔 Looking at the lower levels, like for example Crime Scene Investigator, it seems more connected to law enforcement imo. But looking at the higher levels, such as Field Agent, I suppose it's closer to military? Special forces, really - both could work I think 😊

Haha yeah me too - it'll be so much fun seeing them out and about once the clubs are up and running 😊 I know right? I'm like "where are you all hiding???" It's interesting - I randomized it exactly the same in Downtown as I did in Strangetown, and there's a bunch of queer sims over there. Let's see, there are a few families left, hopefully we'll have a bit more variation soon.
