I feel like Aoife is delving deeper into the social class systems of Funkatron than the game developers ever considered...

When Ian mentioned presents dotted around all over the place IRL it reminded me of him and the sausage squad talking about the stack of porn mags they found and voila, 2 seconds later he mentions it. I think I need to watch less Ian...starting to think like him...

Oh my God. One of the first games I ever played. I got this on Sega with Sonic and a Nintendo with Mario and duck hunt. This was an amazing game. I actually beat it few times no easy feat with no saves. There is a secret lvl . Lvl zero, go to lvl 1 then swim or use rocket skates to get to it, it's south west in the map. You gotta fall down the whole. Woooo love your content Eurogamers. 😎

HYPERCOLOR T-SHIRTS WERE A NIGHTMARE. What's the absolute worst time, in your life, to have a shirt that tells when you're sweaty? Teenage, of course! They were AWFUL. And we didn't have neon green jorts; we had neon green JAMS.

It's a shame that the third Toejam and Earl game wasn't added to the collection in order to have a full collection instead of just the first two. Fun games, the first one is pretty tough even with shortcuts. Played this game so much with my brother back in the 90s, we even managed to complete it which wasn't easy.

There is, came out on the Original Xbox in the early 2000s and the fourth that came out a few years ago, well more of a remake/sequel kind of thing.

I don't often like a video before even hitting play. But with Aoife and Ian playing Toejam & Earl. Fuck yes... Still waiting for the new one too...

Mega tip: on each level, get to the exit as a priority, don’t even look for the ship pieces. Use super hi-tops to speed this up and avoid enemies. When you get to the very top (level 25), now start looking for ship pieces and presents, and then work your way downwards through the levels - much easier as you will fall very near to the ship piece on the levels that have ship pieces.

Slightly surprised you got through this game without discovering the sneak option, and the fact that many enemies start off in a “sleeping” state until you get within a certain distance. So it’s actually possible to play a lot of TJ&E as a stealth game.

It's like No Mans Sky. Procedurally generated worlds and you start having to fix your crashed ship...although there does seem to be a story.

Brendan Mc and a decent reward at the end of the game too, unlike NMS.
@notoriousbmc16 жыл бұрын
It was a procedurally generated ending... they didn't even bother writing one
@happyspaceinvader5086 жыл бұрын
Brendan Mc TJ&E’s ending is not procedurally generated. There’s a brief animated sequence and then you get to Funkotron and can explore around a bit, while bystanders congratulate you on your efforts. It was above average for its day: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n37Oe3eam7R9nsk

Well, congratulations; the Megadrive had games to suit every personality type... and some of us just liked to “chill” (as we may have said back in the 90s, if we’d watched too much American TV).
