I think it's actually a really cool idea having Calypso himself actually partake in one of his own contests. Shame the idea is only in this game though :s

I do appreciate the spray painted 'SOLD' on the side of the nuke truck. Just the idea that after getting his powers stolen and thrown out of the tower, Calypso went to a local car dealership and bought a truck with a nuke launcher strapped onto it.

I like the theory that this is actually the canon ending which then leads into Twisted Metal Small Brawl. The kid at the end being Calypso in Small Brawl just makes sense to me

I'm back with pointless trivia! The flames on Sweet Tooth's head actually have a hitbox and will ignite other vehicles. It's weird, and has zero practical use. Its special weapon has some interesting properties. For starters, each head is a bespoke entity. They generate unique death messages (MIRVbaby, Flamebaby, and Lightningbaby respectively) and home independently of one another. If enough are spawned at once via the rear fire glitch, there's a chance they may not properly activate their weaponry. Finally, Calypso's special can crash the game! If more than two nukes explode at once, the game renders too much at once and it freezes. On bigger levels like the maze, you might even get a crash with only two.

Calypso's ending is what I call a true ending.

its a shame that the ending animation for calypso still uses his model from 3, i kinda like the sleek/creepy vibe the one from the renders and the rest of the cutscenes use. Still, there's something bizarrely satisfying in how he just decks the everloving confetti out of those clown goblins. Also if you never seen them, the tv advertisements for twisted metal 4 is quite interesting since its a short live action scene with needles kane, sweet tooth (the car) and his clown gang. The ad for 3 is just flat out weird but at least in a funny way, unlike the endings in that game.

tbf to Grease Paint and Monkey Brains, the song is about a Circus from Hell. "Clowns they scare the children, roll around the ring, the animals they wanna kill, anyone, anything" grease paint itself if clown make-up monkey brains is probably a reference to animal performers and just, well, gore "Death is on the midway, gambling human souls" a midway in a carnival is usually where the rides and carny games are

If you want ideas for future Twisted Metal videos maybe try out Critical Depth and Star Wars: Demolition, two games I owned as a kid and are probably not very good in 2022

Honestly, Demolition is a pretty great game to this day, if a bit shallow compared to its contemporaries. After all, it's pretty much just Vigilante 8 with a Star Wars coat of paint
