Also love the Arms 2 hype, I really do hope it happens. It would be such a shame to let Arms be a 1 game deal, I want it to sit right alongside smash and splatoon as their third biggest competitive game. Just gotta keep up with it and I think it could be, easily.

As a massive fighting game fan, I like ARMS more than Smash or Splatoon. I think one thing which gives it plenty of hope is that the genre is bigger than ever now. Post-SF6 world has way more people into fighting games than there were when ARMS was released so hell, more people could stick around with 2 I think

@ Yeah, I mean I saw a lot of recent youtube videos of people reevaluating arms, seeing that it had more than we all really realized. I think it's one of the best arena fighters ever made really, a lot of them are focused on really boring auto tracking dash attacks, and arms stays really true to fighting games fundamentals with good spacing and movement. Very very very much looking forward to seeing what more could be done to Arms, hopefully making it more competitively viable like splatoon over it's sequels. A lot of people could really get into it now.

Honestly, these predictions sound both realistic, and super fun ideas for games in of themselves. Also like how you mention rhythm heaven getting in right before the switch 2 comes comes out, very realistic for the franchise, though it's somewhat hard to beleave a warioware and a rhythm heaven game in the same year, considering they used to be made by the same team, and presumably that would still be the case. Great work as always.

ARMS 2 will sell me that console alone for real. Was the game I made sure to get first when i got a switch. In 2023 lol. Even as a late comer there was pretty good activity, just in the party mode. I recall your wishlist video for new features and additions, will be great if some do end up happening. Somthing I'm thinking of is they'll try to incorporate some connectivity with ARMS 1. Like if you have save data from 1, you'll get something unique, unlocked. Maybe easier access to older arms, or costumes for the fighters to keep it simple. I dont think they'd do the usual fighting game costume dlc, but having alts be unlockable in the game itself by playing certain modes or challenges with certain fighters seems like a good idea.

Golden Sun being enough of a success to get the fourth game out un the middle of switch 2's lifespan, with a revamped arena mode with the connect integration where people can create their own colosso maps for tournaments and stuff. But yeah any golden sun stuff would be welcomed and lowkey expected, camelot hasn't announced anything in 5 years, mario golf superrush was delayed almost a year after completion 'cause of covid but even if they had spent it working on it stil, it'd been four years. So either the craziest, biggest tennis game ever made. Or golden sun.

I think nintendo is leaning into Internet of Things with the Switch 2! Think about it, they like using dated technology that has been tried and tested. Nintendo Alarmo's Game based alarms and internet connectivity with "more internet features to come" makes me think the switch 2 is going to be able to connect to it (also makes the pricetag make more sense) Hopefully we can get something like a smart watch that can do streetpass! Switch 1 -> Switch 2 really feels like DSi to 3DS to me

Honestly I don't see Nintendo cannibalizing themselves with two 3D Fighting Games in the same year, especially since Arms isn't popular enough to become a franchise. Splatoon 1 is definitely not getting ported as well, and we'll probably get Splatoon 4 in the spot where you think the Splatoon port is. Other than that, solid predictions! I love that the new 3D Mario is essentially a Mario Multiverse game.

They’re gonna announce Joel Lastofus for Smash 6, which will be an open world looter shooter RPG with an undetermined release date like Metroid Prime 4. We will have to wait till the Switch 3 to experience this, the greatest game of all time.

randomly got this and another one of your videos in my reccomendations and figured I'd give them a watch. And I enjoyed them quite a bit. Definitely feels like a hidden gem of a channel and hopefully more people end up finding this channel. As for the specific talking points in this video, I figured I'd go over most of the predictions and just give my two cents on them. Connect Button - i think its solid idea kinda reminiscent of streetpass, I think pressing it could also open up a drop down menu where you could click on your friends' icons and message them. Sushi Sleuths - I like the obscure pick with this one but I'm not too sure on it. Rhythm Heaven Encore - This can go 50-50 tbh. Fire Emblem Holy War - I think a new Fire Emblem sounds like a safe bet since Engage was apparently finished long before it actually released Captain Toad Double Dungeon - I feel like a captain toad sequel would probably be a Switch 2 release considering the potential mouse function and would probably be a surprise tie in to a new 3D mario like how the original was. F-Zero 99 Expansion Kit - this is the one I'm doubting the most. While I think updates to F-Zero 99 would be great and a possibility, making a physical release for the game sounds a bit too risky as the game is not only free via NSO but also I don't think Tetris 99 has a physical release either. Maybe if they bundled the physical release with a free year of NSO Expansion Pack that could happen but I'm not too sure. Nintendo Connect Coliseum - I like the idea and I do see Nintendo releasing something similar to this for the Switch 2, I don't know if it would lean into the sports side of things unless it was more game-ified Animal Crossing Sweet Home - I do think a more urban setting is a safe bet for the series as a way to separate itself from New Horizons. Arms 2 - while I would like a new arms I'm not too sure if it'd release in the same year as the switch 2. Maybe for its second or third year Luigi's Mansion 4 - I think its a bit too soon since 2 HD for 4 to release but I'm probably wrong Ganondorf Gauntlet - while I think a new 2D fighter would be an interesting pull, I'm not sure if Nintendo would make one given it having to be compared with Smash Bros by most audiences. Super Mario Discovery - I think a new 3D Mario is a safe bet, and I think having a new villain for it would be a good way of giving it a similar sense of intrigue that Odyssey gave before its launch Golden Sun 1+2 Rising - I think a remake/remaster for this could be possible, I think makeing in HD 2D would be an interesting pull Kirby's Dream Course - I feel like we'd probably get either a new/remastered mainline Kirby rather than a spin off Star Fox Assault HD - I feel like while it would increase the trend of gamecube remasters, I don't know if there'd be a schedule for it. OG Splatoon - as someone who's been with this series since the Wii U...I don't think we'd get a Splatoon 1 port or a trilogy collection. Splatoon as a series is very much focused on online play and revising/improving upon what its already done. Having the old one come back with none of the improvements since then feels like it would just not be received well by most people and if it did have those improvements + new weapons + new stages, it'd probably make more sense instead to release a new game. Wind Waker + Twilight Princess - As much as I'd love to see this, its been such a long time that I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo just forgot they have these games Wario Ware - I don't think we'd get another WarioWare until 2027, it feels a bit too soon for them to release another. Lastly, I think my main gripe isn't really with the specific games, but with how much there are. This much launched/announced in a single year feels a bit too much to have go down, even for Nintendo. I think outside of what we already know is coming (Mario Kart, Metroid Prime 4, Xenoblade X, & Pokemon Z-A) We'd probably get 3 other new games (a more party focused launch title like you mentioned with Connect Coliseum, 3D Mario, & a big surprise like maybe Arms 2 or a new ip) and 2 ports/remasters from Nintendo.

boy I sure hope those leaks/rumors of the "Connect" button are not true and Nintendo isn't unironically expecting a glorified overhyped throwback to prehistoric local multiplayer (multiplayer without online for kids out there, it used to be a thing out of necessity)to be any hype in 2025, it's a worse gimmick than the tablet or 3D and doing that instead of fixing their outdated online problem would just be a big step backwards for Nintendo

Nintendo is already fixing their online problem; they already have an elaborate partnership with DeNA (a successful Japanese tech company specialised in mobile games and server infrastructure) who have reworked Nintendo's online back end for upcoming titles, and it was reported that the online on the NSO test game was much better than most Nintendo games, so regardless of the gimmick it should be a lot better.

Despite the heavy focus on smaller IPs, I think the biggest swing here is predicting a 3D Mario making heavy use of movie content. I also hope it comes out before December considering it's been 7 years since Odyssey. I'm the one person who's really excited for DKC Returns, so maybe that can hold me over lol.

This is a rather hard to predict topic in a normal year, but even harder when a new console release has Nintendo being even more secretive. Aside from the Switch successor releasing, the only thing I feel confident in predicting with Nintendo is that we will see plenty of standard Switch games releasing like Metroid Prime 4, Pokémon Legends ZA and the various remasters, alongside some Switch successor exclusives. 0:46 - These sorts of things surprisingly end up being the longest when it comes to video creation, so no worries they aren't included. Sometimes you want to get your point across quick without all the extra stress. 1:46 - These are the sort of predictions I hope aren't true. I don't see much chance of success for a Switch successor with neither original ideas nor original designs. Just being called Switch 2 and looking exactly the same also feels like it will muddled up by more general consumers. 2:33 - Now this is the sort of thing I predict won't happen. Pokémon Black and White 2 never got a 3DS version to go alongside the DS version, and likewise I don't see it happening with the Switch successor. Furthermore, with the Switch successor being backwards compatible, there's no reason too... unless there's something unique feature to take advantage of. 2:57 - There's a pleasant off-the-wall prediction. I opted for the 3DS version of Sushi Striker because I never want to use my fingers on a touch screen but it'd be cool to see the series continue. 3:55 - As someone without a phone, the idea that the big feature of a new Nintendo console will be connecting to a phone app is a very disheartening thought. Hoping Nintendo has something far more interesting and individual cooking up for their next system. 5:19 - Aren't the Mario Kart and ARMS teams one and the same? I don't see both games releasing the same year, though I could see them being announced the same year. 7:45 - Your presentation of all these ideas and predictions is great... but I'm not feeling optimistic about what you're predicting. This "see things through other devices" feels like a similar marketing ploy to what Xbox are doing with Game Pass on all these systems... and it hasn't led them to much success (Xbox sales are down and Game Pass has struggled to meet expectations I've heard). 10:32 - An interesting idea to have a port of the original Splatoon. I must admit, I fell off with Splatoon after the first game due to the joy-cons not being nearly as fun to use as the GamePad. To make a true OG Splatoon as it were, it'd need to basically release a Switch GamePad. 12:43 - 3D Mario platformer with differing characters who play quite a bit differently would be very nice, even if I don't care for the more freeroaming Mario games myself (3D World was pretty much my ideal 3D Mario game, so I'm satisfied with the series now). A fun and well made video idea... even if I personally dislike most of the ideas you predicted.

7:56 F-Zero launching together with Mario Kart in the same month could easily make fans feel like the former will get *snubbed* in spite of the good F-Zero 99 brought, a feeling F-Zero fans have had for so long. Should something happen, I strongly hope F-Zero gets to launch without sharing space with a new Mario Kart, so that it has more time to get over. (So basically, *before Mario Kart gets to launch on Switch 2.)*

Nintendo switch colosseum: Wii sports, Nintendo land and jackbox games made by nintendo? That's sounds dope Animal crossing sweet home is an interesting choice. While I think an apartment complex strays from the premise of small town neighborhood that inspired the franchise, I do think there's potential in this scenario that would differentiate it from new horizons. I strongly doubt the title of ganondorf gauntlet will be official and I'm not even sure who you think would work on it, but I'm so down for more alternative genre zelda spinoffs. 2D fighter is a really good fit. Did not see a kirby dream course sequel coming but I'd be down for it. Couple of things I'd like to see I'll share here: Mario warriors title. I've been thinking about it a lot and it's occurred to me while franchises like kirby, xenoblade and pokemon all are great fits for warriors. Mario has some of the coolest most varied locations and potential for the wackiest character archetypes. Just imagine FLOOD Mario, polterguist Luigi, Showtime Peach, Bowser Jr and even the Kongs in a warriors title. Not to mention a power up themed mechanical gimmick the same way Hyrule warriors had items. Metroid prime pinball with the return of metroid prime I don't expect all of that era of metroid mania to return but this is the best time to hope for a port or sequel and I will dream. Classic Mainline pokemon on switch. I don't care if we need a pixel remastered stand alone release (I low key want that in fact so we can get hard copies) but I want official reasonably priced access to pokemon gens 1-5 and while I don't expect to get it all this year I want to know the pokemon company has a plan to make it accessible eventually.

I kinda wish a lot of nintendo youtubers would just stop talking about fire emblem because it's clear majority of them dont really care for the series.
