Let’s Process This Kale and Talk About Missouri Ozarks

I wash kale well and put in boiling water for 3 minutes remove and plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process and save nutrients. I freeze mine in ice cube trays as little pucks then once frozen place in good freezer bag and take out to use as desired.
I love kale in soups for added nutrients. Also I am going to try green smoothies by placing in blender frozen with other highly nutritious foods such as spinach and beet tops I will probably add a good tablespoon of Greek Yogurt. 😊

Sue, I am so glad to hear my memories aren’t boring! They are a little different as it was rather unusual for even someone of my age to attend a one room school and remembering when electricity came up the “ holler” at my grandparents.❤️

Good Afternoon ( here ) and evening where you are. I thank you for the nice compliment about the flowered pot. Have you watched Pioneer Woman on the Food Network? The hostess, Ree Drummond, has a line of cookware. This pot is one from her line. My granddaughter gave it to me this past Christmas. I love the floral design. I’m so glad you found my childhood storytelling interesting. I actually hope to record longer stories with more detail. Thank you, your channel is inspiring.🥰

@@Grammysgarden The floral design is great! I'm not sure we get the program here in the UK, but will have a look. Lovely present though! Yes, do record some longer stories! I lived in the States for a year, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and your story reminded me of there. I have an old rocking chair we brought back with us from the Appalacian mountains, cost a dollar! Thanks for the kind words about my channel too!

@PlasBachGarden Lancaster is a beautiful area. Missouri is right in the middle of the USA. My daughter lived just north of Lancaster County for years. I appreciate your input , I would enjoy telling longer stories of the Ozarks. Have a great day.

Hi Ann, That Kale did so well, I got it before the cabbage worms did.😊 I haven’t grown dinosaur kale but did buy seed for it. I ran out of space. Have a good day.
