because the point distribution for demoscopic and televote is not proportional. should be 48 per section (to match the maximum 96, 8 times of 12, given by the jury) for the top of the category, not 40.

Mantra was very weak, they only won due to big young fandom active in social networks and low number of people voting on the semis, that is not representative of the public.

yes indeed! And is going to be a massive success like Rigoberta and Vicco did in past editions. Said that her vocals were very average (being kind) and her staging didn´t match the lyrics at all. for me was a big bluff which I actually saw it coming!

Nebulosa no podría ir por la letra de su canción seguramente. No se permiten "insultos". Pero me gusta su canción más q la de Angie. Sofía también me encanta pero a nivel vocal, se me cayó totalmente y su mensaje no se entiende bien en la puesta en escena. Creo q a muchos nos decepcionó como favorita. Mucho tendría q cambiar en la final.

It was a great show, nice performances all around.. Angy took the night for me too for sure.. but I feel sooooo sad for Mantra. The voting is fucked. They deserved to go to the finals, how they could miss out despite wining televote is mind-blowing.

Basically they could have won because the low audience of the show and because they have a record company so maybe they put some money to get votes, and there was so little votes in general that it was enought to win. But in general people here in Spain don't like the song.

Guys dont be simpletons, look at the final results, they make total sense, the system woks. Mantra had a huge fandom of young people that are very active in social networks and not a lot of people votes in semifinals, so they winning the televote wasnt teally that meaningful, they were not among the best of the night at all. This system filters acts like this, so it works.

Hiii I'm from Spain, so if you didn't know Zorra in spanish has two meanings, firstly is the female fox, but also, It is used as an insult for womans, it would be translated to 'bitch' or 'whore', it's funny because saying 'zorro' to a boy would mean 'cunning'. Also, it's one of the best songs because it has message and an incredible production. I knew Angy was a Winner Potential if they staged well the song, and god damn it she did, juries had nonsense. Sofia was disapointing, if you make a song for the show and the show is not up for it you miss everything.

Angy delivered a great performance for Benidorm Fest. Nebulosa lyrics are great but only for Spain. Sofia Coll is the one who needs to go to Eurovision! Because she will have all this time to improve the stagging in so many levels, especially the voice! But it feels like Spain is going to do a mistake by sending Nebulossa.

I made the counts and for the Jury to give 84 points to Nebulossa, on average 6 jurys give them 10 points and 2 12 points which is insane seeing the average show and vocals of the singer. My guess is that the jury was unconsciously influenced by the public which went crazy with the song even singing it very loud, otherwise I don’t understand a hint. Angy was the best package by far (vocals+performance) and didn’t even won the “professional” vote! I expect for Saturday for the Jury to give fewer points to Nebulossa and more to Angy to compensate the fact that they know Nebulossa wasn’t so good to deserve first place. Anyway, after those random results yesterday I am convinced that the chosen one is coming from the 2nd semi on Thursday.

Voting was a MESS. The televote went for the EXACT OPPOSITE of what the jury wanted, apart from Nebulossa. Staging was odd. But worst of all the audio mixing was odd, to the point that some vocals couldn't be heard or good vocalists were DROWNED. Don't know why Lerica didn't get through!

Sofia Coll serving conyo and paella 😄 Honestly, neither the spaniards we understand the jury. Nebulossa is nice 'cos zorra means "bitch" and the lyrics are really cool but there's nothing more than they deliver than a smile in your face with their performance. Meanwhile, Angy and Sofia slayed, and the place of Miss caffeina at the finals was in fact for Lérica. That's why Spain is losing and missing the oportunity that Chanel leaved to be at our top era in Eurovision. Another sad episode for Spain. We'll put our hopes in St. Pedro, the only one who has the chance to do a top in Eurovision. Let's see.

As a Spaniard, the first thing that must be emphasized is that the sound, the performances and the direction of the Benidorm Fest were very bad. In fact, this hurt Sofia Coll a lot, who was Spain's great favorite. Also admit that no one understood Miss Cafeina's 2nd place in the jury (it was rigged) and Mantra's first place in the televote (caused by bots and her record label) That leaves us with Angy (clear favorite now) Nebulossa (Live was very bad, but her song is an anthem) and Sofía Coll (Let's hope she improves on Saturday, because the voice was bad and some elements of the staging are unnecessary )

Spanish here, and I am also dissapointed after this semi-final. I understand the hype about "Zorra" as a song, but just the studio version... She has a really bad live, sorry but that would put us back at the bottom part of the score in Eurovision. And Melfest is supposed to choose the best package to give us a chance to win Eurovision, and the vocals are a huge part of that package, which here is clearly missing :/

The sound was very weird most of the show. Lots of people complained about it so hope they improve it for semi2. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show but my heart broke for Mantra. Winning the televote and not getting through really hurt to see🥲

I didn't get touched by Mantra´s no qualifying really. Something dodgy has happened there because is a joke they got the max public vote. Or they hack the system, or they organised as a gang to vote on a large scale... After this and Tanxugueiras is clear that the demoscopic vote is mandatory in Spain in order to avoid mass movements to rise a candidate.
