Managed to avoid the Rose Quartz palette I wanted to kill for. Saw a couple creators basically dupe it with her other palettes I already had. Although I'm still a sucker for an ELF Bite Sized anything.

If I can't find anything that I own already, then I wish list it and wait for a good sale, enough stuff to qualify for free shipping, etc. Works really well for keeping my collection more curated and not ending up with 8 blushes that all look the same on my face plus I usually end up saving $$! :)

I have noticed that when applying cream and liquid blushes to the cheeks, all the pouncing of the brush brings blood flow to the surface. So, when I think I have gone just slightly too far with application, it is actually just the right amount after the natural flushing has subsided.

One of if not my all time favorite palette, the OG Unzipped palette from Lorac. It's just so good, outstanding formula, easy to use, never had an issue in its performance & a beautiful look every single time. I even repurchased it because my original palette was very old. That in itself says a lot. And yes I too would love to see Emily do a look with this palette for a 'palette revival' series

The girls are growing up so fast. I remember when they were born. Perfect time for 2 kitties since Bub is a little older and can be taught how to handle the kitties gently. Animals can sense long before us when the weather is changing due to barometric pressure in the air. I LOVE shop my stash videos! I have purchased a lot of makeup over the past 3 years and I find myself less interested in purchasing new makeup and more interested in exploring what I already have. I have a bunch of stuff I used once and put in the drawer then on I went looking for the next best thing. A vicious and wasteful cycle! I love the feeling I get when you use an older product and I remember that I have it in the bottom of the drawer, I use it and I love it! It's a great feeling!💕

Yayyy! Shop my stash is my favorite! I have eye shadow and blush palettes that are well over 5 years old and they still work just as they did when I purchased them! I will toss expired cream products, but powder products are usually just fine to use for a very long time. The only reason I've thrown a powder formula away is on the rare occasion it has started to smell weird or the formula just wasn't great to begin with and has been replaced with better formulas. One example is the OG Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. Over the years, eyeshadow has just gotten better since I bought it back in 2016 and even though it has beautifu packaging and provokes nostalgic feels, I realized the formula just isn't half as good as any of my bh cosmetics travel palettes! The same thing happened with some other iconic products, such as the Tarte Blush palettes. The colors are gorgeous, but I've found the formula to be drying on my skin now that I'm older. My newer cream blushes look much more flattering and are far cheaper! The landscape of makeup has evolved away from high end and as a die hard drug store makeup lover, I'm happy to see this! But I've also watched drug store prices climb dramatically. Elf used to be $3 to $6. Now it is routinely well over $10 and up! That is a BIG difference!

Almay used to have these for your eye color palette with the prettiest pink with little flecks of gold shimmer in it. It was for hazel eyes, mine are blue, and I wore that color daily for many years. They quit making it and I am not happy about that🤣. I didn’t use any of the other colors with it. I really didn’t get into more elaborate eye looks until I was laid off from Covid. That’s when I found makeup KZbin. I am so happy I did. I love makeup more than ever.

Emily, I really do miss cheer. I did not cheer myself but my daughter who is grown now with her own daughter cheered for 10 years at the competition level. They had several colors at my Target including green and purple shades (which I haven't used those colors for eyeliners in several years LOL). The eyeliner glided on just like Emily said it did in that video (it was the video she did recently where she only used viewer recommendations). I felt the staying power was good yesterday, but I didn't wear it for a full day either. I believe it was $6, so that wasn't too big of a purchase. The only "expensive" makeup I wear is Bare Minerals tinted moisturizer. Everything else is drugstore. And yessss -- this community truly is the best!

I love a nice friendly Emily video on a Saturday afternoon.. but I have a few BASIC makeup questions that I should know by now Lol What shade should your concealer be? The same as your foundation? A bit lighter? 3 shades lighter? Like, I can't figure it out.. my concealer always looks wrong. Lol and are you supposed to put concealer on before your foundation or after? Do you bring your foundation up under your eyes? Idk, I just struggle in this area. ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Help! 😊

If you are using concealer to cover up under eye discoloration you want 1-2 shades lighter. If you’re covering redness or acne you ideally want the closest match to your skin/foundation but you can use a lighter one. Before or after can be preference. Usually for acne or skin tone concealer I put it on before foundation for brightening over foundation. Try starting out with a dot under your eye towards your nose and a dot toward the outside of your nose and blend both. If you feel you need more coverage add a few more dots. Also if you have very pigmented circles under your eyes you can get a correcting concealer that is more peachy. You would but that on after foundation then cover with concealer but only on the dark spots. I hope this helps
