Yay! Katie is dipping her toe into bling! I totally agree with your opinions on your experience! There are paintings/subjects that I won’t do any bling on and I modify the bling plans quite a bit. I can really see you starting to pick and choose what you enhance. You have such an eye for art and detail and I think you would absolutely love doing it that way! 💕💕

I’m also a person that doesn’t like doing my own enhancements. I have done 2 kits with the enhancement sets and I love it! ❤

Katie, I agree on the crystals sometimes they are too much. I do like the enhancements. Just did purple mountain majesty with the enhancements package and after it was done I would have left the crystals off or maybe just sprinkled them in with the regular drills. Thanks for all you do. I love the idea of blinging up a DP kit. I agree there might have been a bit too much in the kit you did, but it still looks so fun. I got Ainefel from DAC recently and I'm thinking I might need to dress her up! 😁

That is honestly so stunning and I love all the extra bling! I love all things pumpkins and have them around my house all year long. I haven’t had a chance to get a ES yet but I’m planning on getting the ES for “Dragon Spirit” when I get around to starting that kit!Thanks, Katie!

I'm doing Gingerbread House for JingleDrills2024, and purchased the enhancement kit. It will be my first time using enhancements, I really appreciated seeing your video because it made it easier to understand how to use them.

I’m about to do that kit! I don’t have the enhancement set though. What are you thinking of the enhancements so far? I wish I could see a pic of what it looks like after. Did you get the entire enhancement set?

@user-fay1987 I haven't started yet as JingleDrills2024 doesn't start until 11/14. I did purchase the entire enhancement kit and I'm excited about using it.

Let me first say that I love DP with Sparklers. I did do an enhancement when I participated in Dakotathon and the kit I did turned out so beautiful. However, no shade to them but this for me is a too much. Im sure some will love it but for me I agree with you. Again, no shade to Teemaw. I will probably still do another set of hers for a kit I have in my stash in the future.

How can I find out more about drills and chills winter event? I don’t use facebook so not sure that would be an issue? I’m very new to Diamond Art

I agree that crystals are the ones where you have to be more choosy. They're beautiful but I feel like they take away some depth of color, I think you can tell especially in the pumpkin. I think crystals work best for jewelry or even some sky or water scenery in paintings. They probably also could work really well for anything portraying ice! Something where you'd expect to see reflecting light.

I’ve used DP w Sparklers once. I really wanted to use them for What Lies Beneath and do the whole canvas but it was more money than the canvas was.

Imo I think the special drills would have been awesome on a more "magical" kit. But those thoughts may be because that art work isn't my particular taste.

Sometimes is less just more. I love special drills but esp companies like DAC actually really place with a lot of thoughts their special drills. where I dont see a point to add even more and overwhealm. But Ido agree with the brown glitter ones, this fit well. I think in general you cant do much wrong with the fine glitter drills. ABs and crystal drills just give too much effect, that does not fit always.

Well, I discovered that my attraction to all things sparkly FAR outweighs my skills for correctly assigning them in diamond art form. I bought a beautiful painting of two Siamese Fighting Fish and thought crystals would be perfect because of the implied water effects. Yeah. What I think and what I do do not correlate. So, I ruined the piece, and I can't even look at it anymore 😪 Lessons were learned.
