Hobbs should begin shaking off the rust on his martial arts, hes finally questing to meet his legendary beast afterall. That last battle he likely realized hes quite rusty. Years of drinking at the bar have left him flabby and slow.

@@hughthehandjackman1236 If you're asking why it's called Cats, many folks believe it is based on the city of Catun, which is a manufacturing town in Kenshi. And an economic powerhouse that produces all kinds of things. Some also believe it is related to a major figure in kenshi lore named Cat-Lon. So it's not an entirely unplausible for the cash in kenshi to be called Cats lol

I genuinely love this series. You play at the same pace that I do. Most if not all play-throughs on Kenshi seem to be of people rushing everything. They know everyone, all the uniques, all the locations, all the best places for a base, and they all just rush right to it. But in this process the aspect of what makes Kenshi so great is lost (imo at least). You capture the exploring, the unknown, the unexpected, and the tenacity to survive in a brutal world really well. It's not all about building a base and combat, it's about the adventure and I'm really glad I found someone who plays as it was meant to be played. Keep it up!

The way a game is "meant" to be played is being played for entertainment value. What that entertainment value is to you, or anyone else, is entirely subjective, and no one person's method is any less correct than another. Play the game how you like to play it, and others can do the same, all while harming no one in the process.

I love how you portray the Shek, they're warriors and the understand honor. Can't wait to hear how you'd voice Hive and Skeleton. Also if you're gonna do martial arts, you need Dex, I suggest a Katana for that :)

I'm planning on trying a full martial arts squad in my game, so I've given all of my people katanas. Once they get to 10 dex/Melee attack I'll switch, but training's going well. Made Heft carry me from Squin to the Hub while I wore a backpack full of water and she carried 2. Good strength training.

Actually dex is totally useless for martial artists oddly enough. Your dodge isn't affected by any of your physical stats while damage is calculated based on strength, toughness and martial arts. Also dex increases very quickly by just using martial arts itself (even tho it's useless for them) since fists are considered 0 weight weapons I think.

​@@maliivan1993 Dex does have some limited effect on MA speed, but it's very minor compared to str. The 0 weight has nothing to do with dex, weight ties into strength. The general rule for weapon weight is to have strength be double that of the weapons weight. Damage done while using Martial Arts depends on three skills: Martial Arts, Strength, and Toughness. Because of this, it may be better to train Strength up a lot before even starting to work on Martial Arts. Strength plays a huge part in calculating how much damage attacks do. Dexterity affects combat speed for both attacks and dodge. On a side note The higher the skill level the more time it takes to train so use things that lower the skill you want to train. This sounds stupid but the game goes by the skill level of the character after equipment which means a character with Attack 20 with no bonus or negative will gain the sane xp as character with Attack 12+8 bonus.

I love how you do the voices for all the people Sand talks to. That was fun to listen to. How do you keep all those different voices straight in your head? You have so many different characters across all your series. Do you ever mix up which voices go with which characters?

Interesting episode! It’s not surprising that Sand and Park wouldn’t want to mine, and I think that stealing things and robbing people as a way toward a little money makes sense. It’s not like you have a chance to learn any better when you’ve been raised as a slave. Also, I like Sand’s determination to see that Park makes it back to his own people. Your voice for Hobbs is great lol.

You can put your backpacks in your inventory instead of dropping them, losing the debuffs all the same

If its heavy you will still take a weight penalty. That is a tool you can use to train higher levels of strength.

Park really is invaluable to your group ! Also, polearms will be very useful as we have seen against lots of low-level bandits as it will hit multiple opponents at once.

Early to mid game stats they are good. But late game stats heavy and longer Katana's are better.

You should know that the armor of an NPC will add to there fighting skills. Look at the bracket next to the skill , it tell you what bonuses he gets onto his skills. Furthermore you get +8 martial arts in doors and with robo limbs. But you get hurt when you use martial arts, especially in the early levels. You need special armor to protect fist. Weapons don't add to your disguise. (Thanks for listening to my tips last time, hope this helps too) Mod Recommendation: Reactive World Some of it was incorporated into the game but it adds long term effects to some of your choices in the game like city take over or factions splitting up depending on your actions. Will make for great immersion that the world reacts to what you do even if not directly to you.

Also, I believe that defense doesn't work with martial arts (dodge is used instead), so setting martial artist in block stance could be potentially dangerous to the character with no benefits

Bandit Disharmony is another good mod for early-game scavengers. It puts the various bandit factions at odds with each other, meaning they'll fight each other

4:20 It's my third or fourth time rewatching this series and only now I noticed what seems to be a duplication glitch. Last episode ended with Sand looting the paladin and stuffing the gear on his backpack and this episode starts with Park grabbing a new backpack and picking up respawned gear. Did I miss something or was stuff really duplicated?

One quick thing, the beds in that shack you looted are free to use as are the camp beds around town. It'll save you at least 100 Cats on bed rental.

Sand could make better use of the clever, you need 2x a weapon's weight in strength to use it effectively. Katanas are best early, they are light weapons that train dex and do bonus damage to humans. Most polearms have a bonus against animals. You can carry one of each in weapon slot 1, the weapon on top will be your character's default. Swap weapon based on the enemy.Onehanded katanas are also better when fighting indoors. In that case your character will automatically use the katana. Its also a good idea to always have a onehander equipped. That way a character with a crippled left arm can keep fighting.

They take a lot of bag space, but I have survived on hungry bandit rags more than once. Also, there are free bed rolls in some of the broken down shacks. Love the series btw.

You know the more you learn about Kenshi's lore the more interesting those Holy Nation Reports become. A summary for those who don't know: The Shek were a genetically enhanced (human) Species created by the Skeleton/Robot Cat-Lon. During the reign of the second Empire they were used as somekind of Gestapo Police Force, sniffing out rebellions and other inhuman acts (They have taken children into custody so that their parents would submit to Cat-Lons rule) The Holy Nation's origin is in this Second Empire. At first a humanitarian religious group they began to hate both the Skeletons and the Shek for their atrocities against the Humans. The Holy Bible is pretty much a mystefied but correct summary of the Second Empires events. Okran and Narkos are the First Empires war against the Skeletons, Stobe is their Father. Okran and Narko betrayed Stobe, but Stobe forgave them. Stobe, saved their lifes and hte lifes of all Humans in exchange of his own life. Ok... I can't really tell you all there is to know and I am sure I have written some false infos in here, so I recommend to watch actual lore Videos about Kenshi. But the Holy Flame(Bible) is pretty much a direct summary of Kenshis history in the eyes of a religious man.

There is copper and iron ore deposits outside of the hub. They're a great source of strength training and cats that will help you along more quickly than gathering cans.
