Just wanted to say this series is a banger. Kenshi is my favorite game, bar none. I have yet to watch the new blade kenshi series, waiting for more episodes so I can binge. But this format was amazing, and I'm sure I will come back to binge this series for many years to come.

Finished this up today, and ultimately came to a slightly different economic headcanon. The UC would never agree to sell the licenses for all the cats in the world. It's not just money, but something more fundamental. As Tinfist points out, if you ever meet him, the UC depends on the slave farms for food. If you free the slaves, the food goes away, and the UC starves. But you don't need to buy out the slavers and such to defeat the United Cities economically. As you point out, Sand City is an export powerhouse, producing not only quality weapons and armor, but food. Like it or not, the economic locus of the world shifts... and the United Cities' antiquated economic system is nothing before the industrial might of Sand City. Slowly but surely, partner by partner, the UC's export markets dry up as better quality and cheaper goods make their way from Sand City south and east. The UC colonies in the south (Catun, et al) are a long way from the imperial core, after all, and the emperor is far away. Without the export markets, the UC fades into irrelevance, the extended territories break away into their own city states... and with maybe a few midnight break-ins leaving a lot of slave cages empty and as many nobles naked and confused... that's that. The UC dies with a whisper, not a bang. In between the now-free and open Okran's Valley, the Shek, and the southern city-states, Sand City becomes the locus of trade on the continent. But will the Shek remain moderate forever? Estata did much to shape their current diplomatic stances, so much that splinter factions like Kral's Chosen outright refused to follow. What happens when she dies, timely or untimely?

Some drunk would even swear a bonedog with a sword in its maw did all the work. The traders, the more reliable sources, would only talk about the visage of the bloodshed. But all stories had one thing in common, one thing eerily similar, the Blade... How it moved, how it danced. To every minute detail. And all stories finished in the same phrase "If you doubt me, then find Lady Kana and ask her yourself." followed by a satisfied, but rushed laughter. Ah yes, bloodshed yet again. The blade still hungers. As always a very good episode especially with the camera work during the fighting, which really does add a lot. I also appreciate the quicker upload schedule than usual and all the work you put into these episodes. Oh, and the music at 6:00, ohhh what a fucking banger, really took my by surprise. Keep it up, like the blade I still hunger for more...

This is an awesome series, really loving it. Really enjoying the Project zomboid and Sunkern Sea stuff too. I haven't been this full of anticipation since the adventures of Sand. Bravo.
