if your 1.8t 20v sounds like a diesel enginey you know it´s time to take a look at/replace that chain/tensioner/guide between camshafts

Ay bro been a while just got a Jetta when I was like 13 was watching ur vids gave me a lot of inspiration to get into new cars an fuel injection in general showed me with a little bit of work you can make stuff happen

I just got myself a mk4 gli and it was bone stock, not even a drop in k&n filter, and I was having the same issues when taking stuff off to replace with upgraded parts that are known to break because i saw your save the mk4 video and i was like yea, I should get myself another mk4 to bring to its former glory. so now i got my 20th gti and a mk4 gli that was a auction car

@@VdubInParadise my 20th gti was one of those mk4s that needed saving when i bought it 2 years ago, 'bora' front end conversion the old owner did and apparently traded the 20th front end for the jetta front end with an ebay lip, interior was destroyed, staples holding the door handles in and anything with the liners on the door panels and headliner, clutch was burnt so it couldnt put power to the floor, thankfully only rust on the replaceable parts, horrible wiring repairs, sadly i recently bent a rod since my engine isnt built yet and didnt help that it wasnt maintained by the old owner and it was dying in front of everyone at import face off during the 2 step competition but i still have the 20th, its just on jack stands, waiting for money to come in since im a broke college student

Nice work a cool update. I was curious what different the SAI delete makes. And can you stil pass emissions? Are you running a stock K03?

Sai is purely for emissions. I’m not familiar with emissions testing but I assume there’s no passing if the equipment is deleted. It will affect readings.

Any idea why my mk4 gti would smoke oil when I decelerate slowing to a stop?

Valve stem seals..my MK4 GLI does the same. I can do a vid on how to change them.

Would the evap and sai delete be simple enough for a beginner to attempt.

It’ll be a bit challenging since a lot of lines are involved, just takes time to identify where everything is. Urotuning provides a link on how to do it.
