Took it day by day with getting things ready for the engine overhaul. Kept it simple with the replacement parts to avoid complications. The MK4 Jetta will be on the road real soon!

Just picked up a 1.8t today at the junkyard, with 02m attached. Talk about unicorn combo. Almost impossible to find in north florida. First time attempting this. Removal took almost 5 hours. So many little things to keep track of. That transmission is going into a 2005, GLI with 09a. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to the next episode.

Wow that water pump install is outright EASY MODE with the engine out. It might be worth pulling the whole damn engine next time lol

when you drive it please comm on that single mass flywheel how it goes, it creates strong vibration, etc I'm looking to change my dual mass flywheel with single mass and people said i won't be able to get hard pulls from 0to60.... it will cause vibration and stress the gearbox. all kinds of bad stuff 🙁

I love your videos, but why mark the water pump for the timing belt?
@VdubInParadise Жыл бұрын
I know the water pump isn’t timed but I do mark it just for precaution that things are aligned all around.
@josterman0852 Жыл бұрын
@@VdubInParadise Fair. You can never be too careful with timing. Keep the videos coming please! I daily drive a 20th AE and I appreciate your 1.8T videos.
