I like the scene where Jessica flees from the creeps in town and falls into the hand of Mr. Dorker with a shriek, who looks surprised and concerned at first then breaks out into a knowing grin.

That's a sweet '63 Cadillac Duncan had. Woody: "It's cheaper than a station wagon!"

It was already a Saturday afternoon classic on one of the big 3 by the mid-70s when I was a young boy.

Tubi currently has Kingdom of the Spiders. I'm not sure if you've ever reviewed that one but it's one of my favorites from the 70's.

What a pleasure to hear Hancock talk about this brilliant film--and about Wolfen, which I saw for the first time just last summer at the Museum of Modern Art. Kudos to Hancock for rescuing it in post; it's a fascinating film that isn't really a werewolf film at all. Yes, more filmmaker interviews, please--and please somehow add Who Can Kill a Child, which I saw for the fist time last year on the big screen at the Metrograph. It's delightfully disturbing, and would make an excellent episode for the crew. While I know you try to stick to films that are currently streaming, perhaps the occasional film from the Jeff Mohr Blu-Ray Purchase Hall of Fame can slip into the schedule; hey, it's only twenty bucks on Amazon. BTW, the original Jessica review with Doc and Santos was one of the first episodes I listened to during the Lost Year of the Lockdown; an episode that confirmed I'd finally found a horror movie podcast worth exploring further.

Poor gaslighted Jessica. Jessica: "She knows who killed that man!" Woody: "What man"? Duncan: "I don't know".
Emily: "Nothing is ever completely dead." Woody: "Right! I hear that even The Twist is coming back". According to the new physics, the past is somewhat enfolded in the present.

Duncan ... recent initiate to small town living? "If there was a place, I sure wouldn't tell you".

"The Bishops. There's no mistaking the Bishops". Vampires named Bishop? It's a slight recurring theme to me.

I should buy the Jessica house and preserve it for posterity. I just don't like its surprising proximity to that freeway.

Let's scare Jessica..Just watch the places, cemetery where she rubbed the paper seeing a ghost, lake, house of old men and the hurst, house acrossed the road that she gets out of the hurst and walks up the steps, old house with her running down the driveway of a now abandoned house and the house still being lived in where most of the filming took place and still a beautiful huge home.

Duncan ... a natural target for provincial bullies. Balding and plays in the Philharmonic.
