Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

100F in October!?! That's crazy! I'm from southern BC Vancouver Island in Canada and we get mild winters, mostly a lot of rain. In late November 2013, I was in Buckeye, Arizona for a NASCAR race. I went to do some shopping and there were Christmas decorations everywhere. I blurted out, "Why do you guys sell Christmas stuff in July?" My boyriend reminded me "It's November." My brain couldn't coincide such hot, beautiful weather so late in the year. I loved it!!!

We have scorpions in TN but at 73 I have never seen one in the wild. I'm taking the word of others that they exist. I have never seen a coral snake either. Black widows and brown recluse are a different story. I have also seen giant hornets hunting yellow jackets for food. Stay the freak away from them or they will seriously hurt you.

I can't wait to meet all these babies next year. ❤ Salem is a different personality to Casper. Salem is fun and playful but also calm. Casper is a higher energy dog which means it's harder for him to be patient and focused during training. I would suggest more mental stimulation. Puzzle toys are a great way to do that. If you hide his meals within the puzzle toys, including some frozen ones, he could take an hour just to figure how to get his food. I have seen other high energy dog owners do this and it really helps. Also scent work, that uses the senses and gives him another job. I think you're just going to have to work harder to keep him calm. His regular guard dog training seems to be coming along fine. Happy birthday Luna. ❤🎉🎈

What Luna REALLY wants for her birthday is to be able to be bred 🤣 Anyway, happy birthday Luna! (How are your goats so big?? My little Nigerians are both over a year old and under 40 pounds (one might be 45-50) .....I know they are only pet quality, but shouldn't they be bigger? The smaller one is only 30 pounds! They eat timothy grass and alfalfa pellets daily. Thanks!)
