You found some great items. Most embroidered Guatemalan blouses, or huipil, have a ton of meaning in their patterns. An expert can determine if the wearer is single or married, what village she comes from, and her family origins on both sides. They take hundreds of hours to make. A real work of art.

Loving your belongings and finding joy in them, living in a space that makes you feel peaceful, comfortable, happy. My mom made me one of those polar bears in her ceramics class! You put baking soda in it and put it in the frig to help with smells!
