I think the Demi lash is necessary for photos/video. It makes your eyes pop girl, wear them! Also maybe consider wearing a brown liquid liner, it will withstand the tears way better and you can still get that thin line you're going for.

hi arden! im a long time follower and its been amazing to see your journey in your relationship! Im a makeup artist and i did my own makeup for my wedding and loved the ritual of getting ready! Bridal makeup is different in the sense that i would go "bolder" than usual because photography cant pick up the subtilties as well! I love the lash on you and i think in photo/video is will appear more natural than it seems. So dont be afraid go for it girly!!!

Okay now hear me out... you can freeze flowers. I recently went to a Hindu wedding in Canada and as part of the ceremony the bride and groom exchange a fresh flower neck garland. The flowers came from India so they froze them until the day of the wedding. You might need to think of the logistics for drying them so they don't drip down the aisle, but you might be able to get the flowers you want from California this way :)

Hi- I'm a Cali florist and love your idea of Matilija poppies for a bouquet! Some good substitutions: there are a few types of peonies that would be in season then that have a similar look: Lotte Dawson, Krinkled White, Snow Swan, etc. Also Icelandic poppies look less like fried eggs but are still cute! They don't hold up as well though all day.

Hi Arden! If you're looking for a UK/European 'dupe' to the poppies you referred to, I would recommend the Icelandic poppy (papaver nudicaule). They're usually sold in mixed colours, but they do come in off-white and are available in spring. They're quite fragile and temperamental but also gorgeous!! Good luck with the wedding planning, it all sounds wonderful xx

I did my own makeup on my wedding day as well, and no regrets! I did get some natural looking eyelash extensions which were comfortable to wear but made my lashes fuller!

This is BEAUTIFUL, suits you so well and I am so excited for the two of you!! If you’re worried about the lashes maybe try lash extensions? You could get a subtle natural looking set that pops on the outer eye and trial that a few months before to see how you like it and if it works (plus wouldn’t have to worry about them falling off)

All for glowy, glimmer skin base just be aware of camera flashback for your photos! So have a compact of really fine maybe even pressed setting powder to help combat shine where you don’t want the light to catch on your face ie: T-zone, chin etc. also you may want to try testing what your makeup will look like on camera as well so you can get an idea yourself what to adjust and what to amp up ❤❤❤

I work on a flower farm in Cornwall (UK) in the growing seasons and in the spring we grow Icelandic poppies (this year they bloomed and were being cut in April) and they're almost identical to the ones you mentioned! 100% recommend having a special perfume to anyone I know if they’re getting married (obvs if they enjoy/can tolerate fragrance). Scent memories are SO strong. My wedding was lovely, but nothing takes me back the same way that the perfume I wore can.
