if you feel like you’re ugly without makeup, this video is for you. get your tinted skincare and free Bi-Phase Makeup Remover on all orders over $40 here: bit.ly/3vNjFfL (this offer is only valid for one week after this video goes live). i used to feel SO embarrassed leaving the house without makeup. I thought everyone was staring at my acne, my rosacea and judging me. it crushed my self confidence. these are the tips i’ve learned that really help me feel more beautiful and prettier without my makeup on. in all honesty, i'm still trying to wean myself off full coverage foundation and glam makeup, but i’m definitely getting there! some of these tips might be considered ‘cheating’, and some of them are absolutely simple as can be - but TRUST me when i say they work. wash your hair. style your hair. do your skincare. put your jewellery on. actually choose an outfit that will make you feel your best, so you don’t feel like a slob. focus on drinking plenty of high quality water and nourishing your body. when you FEEL good on the inside, it shows on the outside, and you’ll realise that you don’t even need makeup to feel good about yourself!
My faves for making me feel good with no makeup:
Tinted Skincare: bit.ly/3vNjFfL
Black Bodysuit: bit.ly/4afWpVQ
Plain Bodysuit: bit.ly/3yaFMxc
Gold Earrings: bit.ly/3QIwyil

For me, wearing a lot of makeup also started giving me a "distorted" view of my bare face. I always saw myself as ugly. I couldn't even go out grocery shopping without mascara and foundation. But then a few years ago I drastically reduced the amount of makeup I was wearing and completely stopped wearing mascara. And now every once in a while I look at my bare face and think "hey kinda look good today". I often go out without any makeup and I don't feel ugly. And I know my face hasn't changed. Just the way I see myself.

Yes !!! Getting used to the makeup face makes the bareface look wrong. I had the same effect with bras too, always seeing them round and high made it look "wrong" when I took my bra off to sleep. Now that I go no bra, I cannot stand the bra look as it's so fake looking.

Same. I appreciate the tips but using skin care and lip oil with colour is literally makeup. When makeup started it was called skin care in the same way, because people didn't want to think of it as wearing make up. My tips are tinting and plucking my brows, dermaplating, good skin care + moisturising, exfoliating my lips, and possibly clear mascara or oil and curling the lashes.

Having clean hair makes such a big difference. My hair gets greasy after like 12 hours which is so frustrating though. Dry shampoo is a blessing. There are days where I feel pretty without makeup and days where I feel ugly without makeup, but some days I’m just too lazy to put it on. If I go out and someone doesn’t like my face that a them problem. I don’t owe anyone beauty. But I am thankful that my bf always finds me pretty even when I feel hideous.

My skin feels sooooo much better without all that make up, and my mind 100% more free! In the past I spent tons of time getting ready(make up, hair, outfit) just to go to school, and now I spend that time taking care of myself by eating healthy, drinking lots of water and having me time(skin care routine or things like that)! I don't care, I follow good skin care routine, stay hydrated, mostly eat healthy and workout. That's all I need for a good skin and face even if there are flaws I won't put weird dangerous chemicals on my face or draw a face eyebrow or out on fake eyelashes and look a total caricature of mine. I have nothing against those who wear makeup but honestly, no one, literally no one needs it.

For me, the most efficient is to stop wearing make-up. Since I stopped, I just got used to seeing my face. My lashes were also looking better, and I started taking care of my skin. I plan on getting hair laser removal above the mouth and between my brows. Just aiming to have almost nothing to do in the morning to avoid overthinking about the way I look. Of course, I would look "better" with make-up, but I don't want any of that anymore. I don't want to take off my makeup just to feel uglier. I'm used to my bare face now, I have my days and feel like the ugliest shit on earth. But most often than not, I just feel normal

Genuine question, how is wearing tinted skincare different than wearing makeup in the ways of confidence and what it looks like? I seriously don't get the difference, except if this is skin care maybe it moisturites the skin too...
@aliciamclean7482
@aliciamclean7482 2 ай бұрын
It doesn't cover skin texture, pimples, etc. Instead it just gives a light tint to the skin which basically just evens out your skin tone/redness. It's also helps moisturizes the skin, and looks more natural than an actual foundation. This is just my own experience, but I switched to a skin tint a few years ago and I've never gone back to foundation, even when I do a full makeup look because I think my skin looks healthier wearing a skin tint versus a foundation, and because it's so similar to my actual skin it makes me feel more confident about my skin when I do go out bare faced :)

I hope that one day we will all be able to recognise our worth as something separate from our physical appearance and that we are able to feel good about ourselves every day, just for existing. Breaks my heart that we live in a society that perpetuates the idea that humans have to wear make up to be considered beautiful or put together and that we all have to fit into a ‘cookie cutter’ of what beauty currently is. Take the eyebrows for example - thin was on trend for women in the 90s. Feathery and thick is on trend now. So everyone conforms to the beauty standard and misses the opportunity to celebrate their inherit beauty as a human being. We celebrate diversity but it seems that everyone wants to have the same big lips, chiselled features, etc. And when the desirable mould changes we have to change our faces to match or risk being perceived as ugly. Yes they did sponsor me, but only because I told them I was filming with their products anyway. Just because a brand supports a creator doesn’t make the content insincere. But I see what you’re saying and will make an effort to make it more obvious next time!

I started following your KZbin when I was an esthetician doing cryoskin. First off you are absolutely gorgeous. But I think everybody would like to feel more confident without makeup. I used to do work for three sisters. The older sisters looked younger than the youngest sister who actually knew how to do makeup. It seemed to me that wearing makeup actually ages us more. The sisters that never wore makeup and we're older looked so much younger than their younger sister. They did nothing different except makeup. I'm glad that you are including something that is skincare and something to make us feel more confident with no makeup

During college I used to wear makeup every day to class. Then covid hit and I completely stopped wearing makeup for several months. It was during that time that I fell in love with my natural face. I got used to seeing myself barefaced and liked it! So once things returned to normal, I continued with not wearing makeup everyday. It's been a few years now, but I still only do a full face on weekends when there is an occasion for it, but most recently, I went two weeks without makeup. It's such a joy to feel comfortable walking around bare-faced, and I hope everyone can feel confident and empowered enough for forgo their makeup every once in a while.

Great video! I've learned a lot over the years. I was one that thought I couldn't be seen without make-up for most of my adult years. I was never great at putting it on. But, now that I am 58, I have learned how to look better with less, like you are basically saying. Skin care is important. But, If I just want to look a bit presentable, I use skin care for a dewey look. Then I put some clearisil on my more porus areas, like nose and chin. Then, I use a small brush and use a concealer to dab onto areas that are dark. Like under my eyes. Then I use an eyebrow pencil and color in my brows. Then, if i'm going out somewhere, I will put on a lipstick that is fairly subtle. I also have the dry lip issue..have always had it, so, I at least put on chapstick. I have them all over the house.

I am 66 yrs old. I stopped wearing makeup entirely during the lockdown time. It's only been the last month or so that I have begun to find some pleasure in makeup but my skin is so different now. It used to be oily/combination but now it's dry (and crepey). I have a good skin care regime that I do every day. And now I found some light makeup that is just enough to make me feel good and not weighed down by too much stuff on my face. I use a powdered foundation from Laura Geller and it is wonderful. With a touch of concealer, the powdered foundation and some light blush and mascara, I feel and look put together but totally myself. It takes 5 minutes and I'm off to work. I appreciate your videos. I appreciate your transparency and openness.

I am with you on the eyebrows! I overplucked mine way back when I was in my 20s ans have barely any now. My mom did the same thing and told me the same warning! I have thought how great your eyebrows are in your videos so I am pleasantly surprised you have the same issue. I need to get some eyebrow tint! I have thought about tattoos but get scared they will turn out terribly. Also, whenever I have decided not to wear makeup to work or wear very little, I almost always get told (by men, funnily enough) how tired I look. So maddening! It's not fair they get to go without makeup without a care. I also had severe acne as a teenager and back in the 80s the treatment was so harsh for acne. I made my skin even worse. Acne will give anyone severe insecurities especially whn teased and ridiculed for it at school.

THIS. I’ve seriously been doing all these things recently, and they actually make a huge difference. I wash my hair more than what is probably recommended, but I don’t care because my hair actually likes it; it’s smoother and fuller and it makes me feel great. Been updating my wardrobe a bit, and I also don’t feel human until I have my earrings in! My daily makeup has been some powder foundation, clear brow gel, and a tinted lip balm, along with curling my eyelashes (sometimes I’ll throw on concealer or a tinted SPF if I want a little extra). I actually feel prettier this way than with all the extra stuff I used to do. Especially as I get older, I feel more feminine and like myself. I think it’s all just a part of growing up. 😊 Do NOT knock on these tips until you try them; they might sound stupid or simple, but they’re the real deal. ❤

I agree with all these tips. After leaving the beauty industry I started easing up un the makeup and now I don't feel bad leaving the house without it. If I have to leave the house for a quick errand I shower, fix my curls, put on a light tinted gloss and maybe a necklace or earrings and I feel amazing 😊

Really appreciate this! I don’t really wear makeup on a daily basis, except I love wearing a lip gloss or lipstick. Occasionally I’ll wear mascara, but I usually end up regretting it cuz I’ll want to rub my eyes lol. But recently I’ve been breaking out a a lot. I’ve been getting treated for my acne and rosacea, but I’m stress and I was doing better but they came back with a vengeance!! I was debating buying a tinted moisturizer and wearing concealer(I bought one for emergencies, but I never use it). I dreaded having to wear face makeup because I hate the feeling. I, like Pamela Anderson, hate the pressure! Like why do I have to wear makeup??? That’s so ridiculous! Anyways, thank you for making me feel validated! As a girly who doesn’t wear makeup, but always get told I seem put together, let me share some tips! I agree with everything Steph said but also consider: 1. Buying cute hair accessories- I can’t bother with doing my hair because I have an oily scalp and by the next day I have to shower again. BUT having cute hair accessories always helps with feeling put together! I feel like a Princess :) 2. Nails Done- don’t feel pressured to do this. I’m broke so I just paint my nails at home. But sometimes having a little color or sparkle on my nails help me feel better. I’m a big ring lover and I find having my nails done makes them pop more. 3. Nice perfume- never underestimate the power of a good perfume! I feel like I’m allowed to take up more space when I smell nice. 4. Little Details and Clothing accessories- a watch, a belt, cute shoes, and a well put together outfit really help! I’m really simple but I find the little extra details and accessories can help you feel glamorous, elegant, and confident, which is very helpful when not wearing makeup!! Love you all! Please know that you never look as horrible as you think you do. Personally, I love seeing people’s natural real skin:)) Happy Mother’s Day!

Watching the video it seems to me the problem lies more in caring a lot about what other peoples opinions of you might be, and so instead of hiding blemishes to increase confidence and cutting down on the daily make-up dependency to feel more comfortable all is solved when you stop caring so much about what other people think of you. You fill find you can achieve the same freedoms and levels of confidence that way without having to change your appearance or habits otherwise.
reacting to Daisy Keech... this really needs to stop.
