“why did i do that?” me during every single art project 😅 thank you for sharing this side of crafting, i used to watch youtube DIY videos as a teenager and got SO discouraged when it didnt come out like i envisioned / i did something wrong. half of creating is making mistakes! I love seeing these bumps in the road because it brings a well needed touch of humanity back into the mix ❤

January is such a hard month. Naturally my body wants to go to bed and hibernate. I think the year starts properly after Valentine's Day. I have, however, done a few projects since Christmas so feeling good about things but I have to really encourage myself to get them done. By the way, I love your little one asking what have you done, so cute! You'll do it, don't worry, give yourself a break love. A mistake is just a lesson learned. Looking forward to seeing the final result. Go girl, you rock! Xxx

Maybe you can cover some of those edges by cutting a narrow strip of the same wood veneer. I used an iron on wood veneer that came in rolls when I had to dress up some stock cabinets.

I have 8 ikea “greenhouse” cabinets. I paid full, retail price for all of them. IKEA just has the corner on affordable, minimalistic, furniture with a flair for design. 🤷‍♀️

Hi! Of course! I just used regular clamps to hold the wood together, I have some dewalt brand and some from amazon (irwin quick-grip brand). The trimmer is also from amazon, an edge banding trimmer... It's linked in my blog post as well!

it looks Great, I don't see the mistake?!! the only thing I would change is that sticky paper for plywood because the paper rolls off the edges when the glue starts drying out wouldn't lose

The best IKEA hack I know, is the by the furniture somewhere else you don’t have to put it together, but grab some of those little oatmeal and chocolate crisps… while you’re on the way out Ingvar Kämprag made his billions by selling furniture that was 80% of the cost of what you could’ve spent at regular price but didn’t have to put it together - I ain’t that cheap

It might be a DIY project but not a IKEA hack as IKEA delivers really kind a better priced furniture; this piece you are doing, which I understand the fun and creative about, How expensive isnt it to make?? Each bedtable/small buro is not cheap buying 5 of them and All Material You use both to create the looks but also the tools-wow I m happy if this makes your January happy, but please explain that this is NOT a cheap choice to make!!!!!
