If you didn't understand what is happening in this video: -jimin, hoseok and yoongi tried to kill themselves -jungkook ran away from his home and got into a fight, I won't tell you what happens to him that you kinda saw in this vid but not really -taehyung killed his abusive father -namjoon worked at a gas station but was mistreated -seokjin is crying bc of what is happening to the other members, he is like the center of all this storyline but I won't tell you more if you notice, when they are together they are happy and forget their hardships, but when they are alone they start to be sad and have problems again

So, yeah in the scene with Tae it was basically that his father abused his sister and his father always was drunk and wasnt nice to them so when he saw it, Tae got angry and took one of the bottles his father always drank out and stabbed this bottle into the body of his father, just to safe himself and his sister. I believe he killed him.

The guy that V stabbed was his father. V’s sister was being abused. It’s the main point for V’s story. They each have their own struggles (e.g. Jhope with drugs and Suga is associated with fire). You’ll start to understand and learn more about their stories as you go along. There are also pairs too which you should pay attention to: (more for when you get to the short films and past that) Jungkook - Suga V - RM Jhope - Jimin Jin (he’s on his own)

There is also a webtoon called "save me" which is an official webtoon by Bighit which is extremely important for anyone to understand what the hell is actually going on so after watching the videos read the webtoon so you kind of get an idea of the timeline of the events and little snippets of the character's backstory. Also pay close attention to the duo's J-Hope/Jimin RM/V Jungkook/Suga. Jin isnt paired with anyone but is an extremely important character.

They all have their own story, there are different parallel universes and comming back in time, + there are pairs ( basically save each other and care for each other) wich are : Jimin and J-hope V and RM Jungkook and Suga Jin (alone bc his role is well.. different.) Outside of the storyline I always believe it is based on growing up, youth, and loss of innocence(childhood) I always think of this beginning as their awakening moment. It’s not the same for everyone. They face troubles and nostalgically remember the good ol days when they were carefree. Everyone faces hardships no matter what type, losing your way and in a sense gaining your own reality can be like a bucket of cold water over your head and you suddenly view the world and yourself differently. For me this MV symbolizes awareness of self and the inability to control what happens next, because things can spiral out of control so quickly if you don’t understand. Part of the reason for two MVs is simply a promotional part of the kpop world! Most groups release Japanese versions of their singles in addition to actual Japanese singles. So for the MV, the song is the same but the lyrics are in Japanese instead of Korean. They are also usually released much later because Korean and Japanese releases are staggered. Sometimes groups will supercut footage together for the Japanese release that is just footage from the Korean MV and a few additional scenes and sometimes they will shoot an entirely new MV that is similar in tone or style. BTS usually takes an approach of using thr Japanese singles to showcase something that the Korean MV does not and have a similar theme, but new tonality which is very interesting. The most interesting difference of MVs for me is between the Korean and Japanese Blood, Sweat, and Tears but I won't spoil the joy of that for you! Thank you so much for beginning a reaction to this!!! In addition to the MVs, there is also a webtoon that you should read before moving onto the Wings Era. Someone else here will probably be able to place it better than me, but it does a lot to show concrete details of events shown in I Need U especially, but also the Prologue and Run. There are a lot of resources with different theories about the MVs trying to "explain" them, but personally I think you should always try and decide on what themes resonate with you! just to explain more about the both happy and sad parts of the music video, this entire album is talking about finding the happiness in sad times, so in the music video, they are all going thru hard times individually, but when they are together they find a way to be happy

In the webtoon we understand more but each member have huge issues that are slowly leading them to death (for exemple: Suga trying to kill himself by setting his room on fire. Jungkook, you'll see when you'll react to his solo song 'Euphoria', in which he says "You are the cause of my euphoria" but is talking about death. Like death is the cause of his euphoria. Jimin with the water. J-Hope with the drugs...) They're all having huge troubles and Jin is the one who have to find a way to save them all. As long as Jin can't find the solution to save them all, he will always relive the same day again and again until he finds the solution. Even if we wanted to spoil you, we wouldn't really be able to because, even now, we don't really know what's happening. We don't know exactly what each member is going through or how it's gonna end. That's why a lot of ARMYs makes theories and try to put the pieces together, finding every clues and all. Every comeback is full of hints all the time so we don't have the finale answer for now

The story line is so complex and well thought out and it really makes you theorize a lot because they don't just give the story away that simply. It's like they give us single puzzle pieces and we have to put them all together. So don't get frustrated if you feel like you don't always understand what's happening or have too many questions, it's part of the experience and it will only get more confusing haha 😂 Btw a lot of people miss this when they watch this MV, but did you notice that towards the end of the MV, when RM drops his lollipop on the dollar bill, the lollipop actually turns into a cigarette? First of all, Big Hit is always ahead of us, these geniuses had everything absolutely everything planned from before BTS's debut, so nothing that the boys get is just for being, it does not have importance or meaning! Big hit created a whole Marvel-style universe, a universe he called BU! In this universe he tells us a story. It is based on 7 friends who have known each other since adolescence and pass, live and suffer their way through life. A group of friends who are happy being together but who separately each must fight with their ghosts, fears and problems. A story where there is death, pain, tears, terror and time travel! Each member has their own story and together they have another. It is very important that you watch the videos in order so that you can understand a little everything that is happening. FUN FACT: This MV was made when they couldn't afford a proper budget so they people beating up jungkook are actually some of their managers and the cars you see in this mv and you'll see in the run mv belong to the directors and camera directors. They had to do this because they couldn't hire actual actors and afford some of the props. BTW I love your reactions and I have been following you since your first ON reaction! "I'm bopping, but I also kinda wanna cry" girl if that ain't the story of an armys life lmaoooo Also, I'm not gonna get into too much about the storyline, because I think it's good to go in with a relatively blank slate to form your own theories before jumping into all the explanations, but I will say that it's SUPER important to pay attention to the pairs within the story, because they seriously do help connect a lot of the dots. So, as you go on, try and remember that Jungkook and Suga are connected, V and RM are connected, J-Hope and Jimin are connected, and Jin is sort of the one that ties everyone together. I'm so excited to watch you get into the full story!!

Okay from my understanding and interpretation it's about mental health and loss of loved ones (friends,family,etc). Jhope - overdosed Yoongi- set himself on fire Jungkook - was beat up,then hit by a car V - killed his dad who was abusing his sister, his dad in this story was an alcoholic Namjoon - was mistreated as a gas station attendant (the lollipop is supposed to represent a cigarette but korean media doesn't let you show cigarettes) he may or may not have blown himself up considering that he never put out the cigarette Jimin - drowned himself in the bathtub Jin - his story is the most up in the air, the flower petals he has represent remembrance and mourning as if he is mourning the loss of his friends and remembering the good times they had together. Which is why we see so many clips of their adventures together.

there's sooo many layers to their music videos and the storyline. it's really difficult to piece them all together. even when you've finished watching all their music videos, reading the webtoon and the notes, vcr's etc, rather than be clarified, you'll actually find yourself falling deeper into the blackhole love your nails 😅

Wow, I'm glad to see that you are starting the storyline. It's a VERY bumpy ride. I promise, no spoilers. I just want to clarify something that you noticed but it I'm not sure if you really noticed. You mentioned how you keep going back and forth between happy and sad while watching the video and the seven different storylines, one for each of the boys. Well, they're happy when they're together and they struggle when they're alone. I think you might have caught that, but you didn't specifically say so, so I just wanted to make sure.
