Carolyn, Please don’t leave our beautiful Catholic Church because of a weak priest. We all need to stay focused on Christ’s sacrifice and the Eucharistic celebration. That’s the bottom line! As far as your school goes, it looks like you have some hard decisions to make. I don’t know your life situation so I can only give you my thoughts based on my own experience. In my life I came to a fork in the road. One way would have been to fight the good fight with a group of like minded individuals at the very highest levels. The other way was to fight the same fight, but in my own home, in my own back yard, with those I love and those closest to me. I chose the latter based on the logic that it would do no good to try to rebuild the house if it was sitting on a bad foundation. The evil one has tirelessly chipped away at our societies moral foundation. That’s where we must begin if we are to undo his dirty work. Also, PRAY HARD! 🙏🏼

Brother, don't fear anger - it is natural. Learn from the wisdom of Isaiah the Solitary of the 3rd c. one of our Eastern Desert Fathers. The following from him on anger from the Philokalia: "1. There is among the passions an anger of the intellect, and this anger is in accordance with nature. Without anger a man cannot attain purity: he has to feel angry with all that is sown in him by the enemy. When Job felt this anger he reviled his enemies, calling them ‘dishonorable men of no repute, lacking everything good, whom I would not consider fit to live with the dogs that guard my flocks’ (cf. Job 30:1, 4. LXX). He who wishes to acquire the anger that is in accordance with nature must uproot all self-will, until he establishes within himself the state natural to the intellect. 2. If you find yourself hating your fellow men and resist this hatred, and you see that it grows weak and withdraws, do not rejoice in your heart; for this withdrawal is a trick of the evil spirits. They are preparing a second attack worse than the first; they have left their troops behind the city and ordered them to remain there. If you go out to attack them, they will flee before you in weakness. But if your heart is then elated because you have driven them away, and you leave the city, some of them will attack you from the rear while the rest will stand their ground in front of you; and your wretched soul will be caught between them with no means of escape. The city is prayer. Resistance is rebuttal through Christ Jesus. The foundation is incensive power. 3. Let us stand firm in the fear of God, rigorously practicing the virtues and not giving our conscience cause to stumble. In the fear of God let us keep our attention fixed within ourselves, until our conscience achieves its freedom. Then there will be a union between it and us, and thereafter it will be our guardian, showing us each thing that we must uproot. But if we do not obey our conscience, it will abandon us and we shall fall into the hands of our enemies, who will never let us go. This is what our Lord taught us when He said: ‘Come to an agreement with your adversary quickly while you are with him in the road, lest he hand you over to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer and you are cast into prison (Matt. 5:25). The conscience is called an ‘adversary’ because it opposes us when we wish to carry out the desires of our flesh; and if we do not listen to our conscience, it delivers us into the hands of our enemies. 4. If God sees that the intellect has entirely submitted to Him and puts its hope in Him alone. He strengthens it, saying: ‘Have no fear Jacob my son, my little Israel’ (Isa. 41:14. LXX), and: ‘Have no fear: for I have delivered you, I have called you by My name; you are Mine. If you pass through water, I shall be with you, and the rivers will not drown you. If you go through fire, you will not be burnt, and the names will not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, who saves you’ (cf. Isa. 43:1-3. LXX). 5. When the intellect hears these words of reassurance, it says boldly to its enemies: ‘Who would fight with me? Let him stand against me. And who would accuse me? Let him draw near to me. Behold, the Lord is my helper; who will harm me? Behold, all of you are like an old moth-eaten garment’ (cf. Isa. 50:8-9. LXX). 6. If your heart comes to feel a natural hatred for sin, it has defeated the causes of sin and freed itself from them. Keep hell’s torments in mind; but know that your Helper is at hand. Do nothing that will grieve Him, but say to Him with tears: ‘Be merciful and deliver me, 0 Lord, for without Thy help I cannot escape from the hands of my enemies.’ Be attentive to your heart, and He will guard you from all evil."

Pope Francis meeting sinners. You know, Jesus Christ also met with sinners. Tax collectors were really horrible people. Look it up and pray for our Pope. Yes, he's socialist in some ways. Be careful though about casting stones. I suggest you read some of the literature the Pope has written. I also suggest you notice something. He never defends himself when attacked, but always the church when attacked. At this difficult time it's good to be grateful for good homilies, but also to encourage our Church leadership as some comments have, rather than be critical. All Christians need to unite in prayer. This allows the Holy Spirit to work. Pointing fingers only encourages people to judge. Only God can judge man's heart. Only God is good. Who knows, maybe the pope will change the heart of the public sinners he meets. Maybe this is the plan. Remember, we are all sinners in need of conversion. Peace be with you. Please don't be offended, not my intention. Pray for me and I pray for you. Pray for the Pope the bishops and priests and the laity. Pray for women contemplating abortion, that God will change their heart.

@@preciadocisco I'm not offended, Francisco, but I'm concerned for you since you left the one, true Church. There's no such thing as a dead saint. They are fully alive as the Church Triumphant in heaven. When Jesus died on the Cross He told John, "Behold thy mother.". This was Jesus giving each of us, thru John as representative of the Church, His own mother to be our spiritual mother. She is the greatest saint of all. Scripture tells us she is "full of grace."

What a blessing to have people like Fr. Meeks tell the TRUTH about what is going on! I have mostly walked away from the Catholic Church and toward a Bible-based non-denominational church because there aren't enough clergymen within the Catholic Church willing to stand-up for what is right: the Word of God. God bless you always and give others the courage and wisdom to speak up against the demonic forces that are taking over our society.

Fr. Meeks is only one of a massive host of highly educated, deeply devout Christian Protestants who are rushing to join this same Catholic Church for her faithfulness to the full Word of God-- I hope you can find a parish in the Ordinariate of St. Peter (they are a separate diocese of Catholic convert priests) near you and come home!

Greetings from The District Of Columbia. Thank you so much Father Edward Meeks. It is very dificult for me with all the lies going on around. I work in a hospital and I get very uncomfortable when working with all the demonics things from others. I am a traditionalist Catholic who firmly believe there is male and female. Marriage is between a male and female. Working with conditions is not easy at all. God bless you Father. Thank God that we have Priests teaching us with the real truth from God. I am surrounded by the minions of satan agenda including some family members, friends and coworkers. The other day anurse was fired for standing up for her strong faith. God help us all.
@MPFXT3 жыл бұрын
You need to stand up for your faith also. If there is demonic activity going on where you work and you know about it but not doing anything about it then you are culpable. Confront the evil and accept the consequences as a Gift from the LORD and get the hell out of your life. Fight fire with the Fire of the Holy Spirit - God will give you the grace thru the Sacraments of Confession, the Eucharist and Gifts of the Holy Spirit from the Sacrament of Confirmation. 🙏🕯️🔥
