We do need the Bible and the Truth of God's Word. However, without the authority of the Magisterium of the Church, we are left to our own devices in an attempt to interpret the Bible and the truth contained in it. The problem is that the very truth we attempt to discern from Scripture is tainted by our upbringing, what we hear and read, as well as our life experiences. Jesus specifically gave us the perfection of the Catholic Church, although run by very imperfect people to instruct us and guide us to follow the narrow path to salvation. Blessings!

My daughter Alexia the other day shared about a delightful thing her son Dominick said when we were all discussing COVID-19 concerns that week on the telephone while considering that we maybe should stay away from Christain church services that Easter Sunday morning as the rules for family gatherings had already eased. He said to his mom, "It's worth the risk going there." That day it was me who wanted to go instead only to another Easter season Sunday.

I’ve been reading up on Pope Francis and curious how Father Mike views his liberal quotes/statements vs the conservative more traditional stance. Especially with regards to abortion, homosexuality etc. it’s confusing and contradictory for someone like myself who is a baby to her faith. I feel in my gut the Bible is truth and God’s laws should not be changed or modified just because of the times we live in. It bothers me when people say Catholicism is too conservative. It’s not supposed to be easy. If you’re a true believer and try to follow Gods laws it’s not supposed to be easy. If it were easy then the whole purpose of existence wouldn’t matter. Anyway, that’s been on my mind. Thank you Father Mike for your messages. It helps me so much while I’m facing such a difficult time in my life 🙏 👼 ❤️

Stay in the word. When I read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation I understood my faith fully for the first time. We don’t follow people. We follow God’s holy word. This Priest is a true follower of Christ. We need to pray for him. Our faithful Priests are being cancelled because they speak truth. Pope Francis needs our prayers. Don’t follow anyone who says that Catholic Church is too conservative, or too traditional or even “going backwards.” They are the dreaded modernists, trying to destroy the Church. But please pray for the pope Francis, however hard it may be, especially for his conversion, he needs it desperately (even if he wouldn’t admit it). John the baptist caused a bit of division too. And he and his head parted ways. 10 of the 11 remaining apostles we're all martyred too. Paul too lost his head. The truth is divisive. Division is eating from the knowledge of good and evil, that is why the Trinity of 3 is key, can't take sides but continual exchange of energy between all involved, and seeing Jesus reveals the other two in the material world. Everything was made through and in Christ....no division in that.

I am reading Revelations now. I’m almost through the whole Bible. Four things that the Holy Spirit has revealed to me about Revelations: 1.) the “revealing” is from his viewpoint. 2.) he IS FAITHFUL. The Unitarians do not say- as this priest asserts- you are not allowed to have a creed. This is their principle that addresses belief: A free and responsible search for truth and meaning. Another principle exhorts member to support others in their spiritual path. There is great variety of belief in any congregation. The only thing that can be said definitively about their beliefs is that in their origins, Unitarians deny the Trinity and the divinity of Christ. This is similar to Arianism (for those Unitarians who have Christ centered faith). I imagine that nowadays somewhere there is a Unitarian somewhere who is a Trinitarian. But you wouldn't hear a UU preacher preaching against Trinitarianism. Not having an official creed is not a prohibition against having a personally held one. If folks are going to make assertions about other religions, they ought to get the facts straight.

Well said! We should make sure that we are on the 'right side'! For example, the Apostle Paul wrote, "Whoever preaches a different gospel should be accursed." Paul also wrote, "Whoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10.13)." Notice that, though important, baptism and communion are not necessary for salvation. Christ died on a Cross so that we can know Him - just by asking! Have you been born again, seated in the heavenlies with Christ? Does the Holy Spirit bear witness to your salvation? Unfortunately, Catholics teach that baptism and communion are necessary for salvation. Yet, dear Catholic, before you quote (actually misquote) Bible verses that 'prove' that baptism is necessary, remember that you are only trying to make Paul into a liar! For example, which is true: whoever calls on the Lord shall be saved or you must be baptized to be saved? Has satan blinded the Catholic mind so that they might see a simple, blatant contradiction here? I hope that whoever reads this will obey Christ, Who said, "My Father will give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him." Baptism is important, but not necessary salvation! Do not preach a false gospel! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
