I've been playing e7 since day 1 and it's been the only gotcha that has held my attention I just wish they loved it the way most of their player base does. I really wish SG would look at how game devs like Creative Unit 3 from SquareEnix operate. Whether you like FF14's direction or not, since Yoshi-P took over, there are constant dev maps, communication and interaction with the players. They have shown for the last several years that regardless of the ebbs and flows with the game, the community with have their back and SPEND when there is honesty and communication with the plans for the game.

pretty much my entire guild quit right before all this stuff happened. e7 is nauseating. every time the devs touch it the game ends up worse because the no nerf policy explicitly prohibits them from fixing any of their many mistakes. so instead of anything good we get painful new systems like arena or hot and awful ui updates nobody wanted. sg's long-standing focus on short term profits over making e7 into something decent put the game on a clock a long time ago. the game may not literally be dead but it's been as good as dead ever since the no nerf policy became their mo. why do good work when you can make a problem and a solution in order to sell crappy work twice?

why wouldn't they fire the US branch? they were getting 100 viewers per livestream, wasting almost 1 mil per year in their salary plus the office, for what? now they are brgining other CM's so it's not like they got rid of the branch entirely, ppl doomposting are just emotional because the cc's knew the CM's personally and exalted the situation out of proportion.

Interesting story. I never played card games personally but i always loved the art in the cards. Age doesn't matter, why not just say it? Pretty sure i'm older than Tristenwolf myself (well if he's a Vampire, probably not so who knows). I play games since forever an i will always play games. F what people say. As long we are responsable adults, we can do whatever we want with our free time :D Lets hope Epic Seven survive this and gets better in time. The community deserve this.

11:40 Ahh Tsu, no wonder you kept getting fired. You were concerned with long term health. You were dealing with bosses who want to make number go up. They don't care if the game shuts down in 2 years, they are probably just gonna ruin the next game becsuse they can say "hey we increased the profit margins by X%. Game died becsuse of trends". It's probably the same for E7 sadly. Games not dying but I think we've officially left "growth mode". It's basically "quiet quitting" right now. It'll be fine, make it's 3m a month for quite a few years until they move on to the next game. But I wouldn't look forward to any actually new content outside of banners. No major RTA changes, less big side stories and more reruns, no new PvE modes, no Guild wars anything (not like we had any changes in 5 years 😂). There's still a butt ton of content for new players to explore. But end games players are gonna start stagnating and dropping.

Having watched most content creators takes on this matter, as well as discord. I thought I'd contribute with a different perspective. Just want to let the reader know 2 things beforehand: - I've been playing e7 casually for about 3 and a half years. - The intent of this comment isn't to deny, criticize or antagonize Tsu's video. First and foremost, losing the community manager team sucks. I'd like to wish the best in their future endeavors. Losing your job, especially this abruptly, is awful and I don't think any reasonable person would disaggre. Moreover having a team to help gather data and public opinion from the global audience through youtube, twitch, discord and other social platforms is much better than using STOVE's platform. Even if we had to resort to commenting there in the end. On the other hand, as a casual player, I can't, in good faith, say that my opinion (and many of my friends', all of which play the game casually too) was heard by them. Content such as: Mola Mash and Content Creator Battle was, obviously, targeted towards RTA folks, whereas Orbis Overdrive (at first glance, a more encompassing content) would most often feature (and bring up to discussion) RTA focused players. Again, I reiterate that this is not a bad thing, but it severely limited its reach (2 ~ 2.3k views max on average). To exemplify, complaints like: "Lack of endgame pve content"; "Certain gear sets being mostly obsolete"; "Heroes being either RTA focused or entirely designed for 1 singular pve content"; "Lackluster Story"; "Poor gameplay and lore integration on hero design" are all quite common (and frankly, quite old) complaints in the community at large. But I didn't see any wide-reaching movement towards addressing such topics. You could argue "Just Chatty" was one, but nothing ever came of it to my knowledge. If you are still unconvinced, pick any hero who isn't RTA or GW focused. Where can you "play" with them? (by play i mean control the character, not hit the auto button) In conclusion, I don't mean to deny or diminish the effort put forth by the community management team. They were active and brought together a community (if small) of players who very much enjoy the game. But I don't think they represented the player base at large or made significant efforts to address the issues voiced by non RTA players.

Well if the Big execs mostly listen to stove, that answers are question. Anytime you bring up PvE in stove you're just bombarded with "but this is a PvP game" or "gear gapped lol" or "maybe this game isn't for you" or "it's a gear grinding game that's the point" (while posting "I played 3 years and only have 1 20 spd piece" after that 🙄). The loudest people play RTA and bash down any PvE players. So what we gonna do?

@raze2012_ I feel the exact same. Communication between non RTA centric players and game devs simply doesnt exist, which bother me. In other gachas I played in the past: King's Raid, Monster Super League, etc. There was always content to play with the heroes I collected, even if they weren't optimal (before these games became garbage that is). In Epic 7 however, it feels almost impossible to use a good chunk of the heroes in the game. Guilds, who care about winrate, won't allow you to use your weird team for fear of losses (and honestly, why should they? It literally penalizes everyone in the guild). Meanwhile, Arena Offense and RTA feel almost oppressive with their picks. How does one even pick a fire Ken, Green Lilibet or any non meta unit agaisnt such annoying defense teams or above masters in RTA? At the end of the day, despite having invested in the characters I like, I'm left with no place to actually play them.

Personally, the game has been slowly but consistently becoming more aggressive and hostile towards players. It's full of mechanics that are now obsolete, difficulty spikes that require 1 hour of your full attention to fully understand and play around while also being tied to requiring super specific units with specific "timing" and rolls... While also being tied to RNGesus deciding whether you win or not... So yeah, it is obnoxious to play. My guild was already on the edge considering if it's worth staying or jumping ship... We chose to stay and see how it goes. Hope for the best but expect the worst.

It's just gonna become a never ending cess pool. When really all they need to do is make moonlights more accessible and let people create answers.

Because the amount of pulls it takes to get one 5 star moonlight is absolutely asinine. And this is coming from a day 1 player whom has almost all of them. OR! they can rework a lot of their older ml and regular 5 stars, (this is what actually needs to happen). But sg sucks at making impactful balancing when it comes to that. They knocked it out of the park with mort but for some reason couldn't get the rest right.

​@@joshuajackson5203 nerfing is objectively the right thing to do to fix the issues with power creep which creates an environment that makes someone say "now we need the old hwayoung." Original hwa should never have happened and aravi should have been nerfed shortly after her release. Better yet, she should have been rigorously tested prior to release in order to come out properly balanced and prevent the entire hwayoung conversation from ever starting. People are saying "now we need old hwayoung" specifically because of sg's failure to nerf and properly manage e7's power creep.

To me that basicslly says that CZN give negative cares about Global presence outside of a generic CS forum auto translated that won't be read by Koreans unless it's a payment issue (in which case, they redirect it to some mandaed 3rd party payment handler that knows very little about the game). You don't just shut down an entire office and kick everyone out if you're interested in "replacing it later". Not unless ChatGPT id your idea of a better employee

Yes there are a lot of videos talking about the same thing but you also gotta think as a content creator for a game you know you’re not the only one so everyone who covers the game is obviously gonna post a video (about a game they enjoy) that just shutdown the branch of the country you reside in. They are different ppl so they’re gonna have different opinions. Not everyone watches just one KZbinr yes but some do only watch the one person so with that in mind it makes sense for multi videos covering the same topic. It’s honestly like that with any niche on KZbin especially with newness within that niche. Also I don’t think we’re using doom posting right. This isn’t a doom post they clearly state in the video that this mainly means no us representation. Can this mean eos? Yes but doesn’t mean it is gonna happen. Before the us branch they had the main branch doing translations and stuff so worst case we just go back to that. If you’re really worried about a game dying go look at monthly revenue. Games making 20x less with an already deep IP still running so why would a game with seemingly boundless freedom that’s still pulling in money by the millions shut down after its most profitable outing? ( anni event) until its official i think you should still come play! It’s the most fun I’ve had playing a gacha in a while. Granted I started the month before anni but the new player experience blows most gachas out the water imo anddd you can always join my guild 😏😏

It's not dead. But we gotta realize that E7 is now our 70 year old grandfather and not that 20yo rookie star. He'll keep living and even be healthy, but we should also start getting the paperwork together. Doesn't mean you can't keep enjoying him while he's alive. But we gotta face reality.
