New maps, and a push to include the other 4v4 game modes into a single playlist to allow people to actually play the other game modes(not breach it’s too long to be in the same playlist) it also introduces maps that so many people have never seen. Maybe some cool events specific to a map instead of copy paste game mode with a different skin. Breach matches being unique would make it more enticing to play

Feedback needs to be given on how these changes affect the game *as a whole* and that includes matchup changes across the entire roster. Also, since not everyone plays or even *owns* these characters, it would hemorrhage test participants, and that’s pretty bad when we already don’t have the greatest player numbers.

They did confirm neither of the new characters would be Knights. I don't have an issue with knight characters but it gets stale when those are the only ones they release. Personally I just hope we get to see more diverse and interesting/unique move sets, new move types and things like that. The more the devs experiment the more interesting mechanics can be ensured for future reworks/characters.

You are probably right. Personally I would love a For Honor 2. It feels like the game has some connectivity and hit box detection issues that aren't ruining the game anymore but still are noticeable sometimes, that are kinda hard baked into the code. So a refresh for new hero designs and balance and code would be really nice. A new opportunity to develop the Faction War concept and such would be pretty awesome. I still like the game a lot. I'd have to to stick with it for this long but it does feel like it's aging. Idk how long it can continue like this. New executions would be great but they are a lot of work. Hopefully the resources that would otherwise be used for those are being put into a new version of the game. I'd love to see this franchise see long term popularity and success

I understand your concerns Toeknee, I definitely have felt disappointed and bored at some point with this game ever since I got into it two and a half years ago. I personally have done a personal challenge that has helped alleviate my boredom with this game while improvement my matchups with each hero: Getting every hero to at least rep 5. It started with rep 1, then rep 5, and concluded with rep 10. Ever since in late 2019, I worked towards those 3 goals and it was personally fun. I got to learn how other heroes play and appreciated what they bring. While getting everyone to rep 10 is a little overkill, I think rep 5 is that sweet spot for creating content. If every hero is too much, you could do it with your favorite faction only. Say at least rep 5 with every Knight hero for example.

I've been playing since Season 3 (technically started in 2 but was too afraid of getting stomped online so I stuck to story and training). I have 750 hours invested in it and take an annual 3 month break from the game. Even with my comparatively smaller time and my regular breaks I still find the game tedious, so I can only imagine how people in your position feel. Also, I really enjoy the "But I Don't" stuff and am even willing to throw the idea of playing Shaman or PK and not bleeding people with them.

7:30 yeah, around 20 but they chose to make it the exact same as warden, wardens have been asking for everything warmonger has but instead we got a new character that feels like just like warden, moves like warden and looks like what wardens mains wanted to look like since launch. I personally don't care much for the reused animations, but when the character has everything the other character wanted for years, i.e the impale parry punish, the plate armor, the cape, the executions it feels like they aren't listening. It's the same with gryphon, he has armor that other factions wanted since the inception of the game but no, the wolf head goes to gryphon instead of warlord.

tbh with the tg characters they will probably release them in groups of 2 or 3. i suspect mabye 2 or 3 this season, the new hero is coming out next season and we saw what happened last time they released a rework and character at the same time. the reworks just kinda got drowned out by griphon so i doubt they will release them with this new hero and will probably wait till further into the season to release the rest. my guesses on who will come out first would be glad and zerk because of the minimal changes and also possibly jj. they will probably wait on zanhu, musha, shugo and hito to do some tweaking

I agree, with how the new changes on the heroes should be released all at the same time, as a opposed to a few every few seasons. If all the testing ground changes were released around June-July time. It would make sense to release the new heroes towards the end of the year or a fews seasons later. Other than that, i’d like to get the new heroes, before the end of the year, or at least have super big updates that will be super fun to play. (I’d particularly like a samurai hero. Or a hero that has a double bladed weapon, because, I wanna be like darth maul.) I understand, in the perspective of content creators that having new stuff is essential to more/new content, and how the devs shouldn’t release the new changes over the course of the year, as opposed to all at once, and it would just be boring and further demotivate content creators and players from playing the game, because of the lack of new content in the game as you said. Personally, I hope that the testing ground changes do release all at once, that way we can have more people trying out the game, or the new changes on the heroes for old players to come back amd play. Its all up to the devs honestly. Times/dilemma’s like these make or break the new season for the game entirely. For honor is a big game, and if the devs make poor decisions in terms of new content/updates, I wouldn’t be surprised if the active players go down, because of how bland the game could be. This can also be applied to other games in general, so pretty much at the end of the day. Its on the devs on how they release the testing ground changes. Or at least update the roadmap to be more specific on what the plans/goals for the game. That way it allows the devs to be more transparent to both players and content creators. This is probably an essay-long opinion/input about this so i’ll end it here (I don’t have irl friends that play for honor to talk about this stuff, so yeah.)

I'm a overall rep of 670 an a day 1 rep 70 PK main on Xbox an I can tell u that those buffs are so f#cking refreshing & helpful an I really hope they release all the other 7 hero buffs next season. But on another note of new content I would luv to see, an I have been asking for this content for awhile; 1st I would luv to see a Roman Colosseum map or game mode that has more unique environmental hazards like chained up lions,tigers,wolves,etc. that I can throw my enemies into so that they could lose some of their health once they are bitten,an a periodical chariot with the blades on the wheels that rides around an that I can throw my enemie into, an a crowd that roars & throws roses on the battlefield everytime someone is excuted. An I would for the yr 1 DLC story mode to start in the Roman Colosseum bcuz u can't have Centurion or Gladiator without a Roman Colosseum!!

A weapon type I've always wanted to see on a For Honor hero would be the Falx, its probably my favourite historical weapon. And I mean, if the Knights can have Roman inspired characters within their faction, it makes some sense to let the Vikings take influence from some of the "barbarian" cultures that the Romans fought, like the Dacians.

As far as a potential moveset goes, I have no idea I'm not a game design person. Unblockable top attacks makes sense, a nod to the fact that the Romans made modifications to their helmets mid-campaign against the Dacians, in fear of their mighty weapon, the only time they ever did so.

I'm not sure what it is, but I've actually been loving the game lately. I'm around rep 170 and a pretty good player (if I do say so myself), but I'm not like a crazy high rep with tons and tons of hours leading to burnout. I've been legitimately trying to improve my core gameplay lately, in regards to awareness in team fights, making reads faster, practicing both new heroes and things like gb os (sorry, it's more difficult on console so I'm allowing it lol). I've been watching a lot more high level scrims and tournament gameplay and it's honestly fascinating. It's a shame the abomination that is the majority of gaming journalism painted the picture that high level For Honor is boring or unskillful because it could not be further from the truth. The game fills an awesome gap with the combat style of a fighting game, with the team play of a MOBA, and when you really understand the plays being made, it's great fun. I think the biggest thing for me is playing with friends. It's not that the game can't be fun when you're solo, but actually coordinating plays and ganks is so much more rewarding than screaming at my oblivious teammate to blockstun for my bite or gb for my Hito T4. Pulling off actual proper play is so satisfying and lately, I can't get enough of it.

Another point about recycled animations that people shouldn't complain about: It's very hard to make new animations when you're stuck at home. COVID is why new animations are few and far between. Also, the console version is pretty much the same as PC now, there's basically no input delay on the Series X(if you're playing on a monitor)

I think they need to fix the matchmaking. Maybe im doing something wrong but any time i log on and solo que i verse 4stacks that play a casual mode like a tournament. If i back out after the game i just get sucked in the same lobby forever. How many games do i have to suffer thru to fight people less smelly. The game is fun but not when im getting optimal ganked and everyone is using 7 different option selects so i cant even use mixups or attack

Honestly I understand that this game and rather all of the games have this moments, especially whenever the game itself isn’t the best. Though I like to see more games like dark souls and Mordhau would be fun to watch! Especially with mods in dark souls 2 or 3. Even if the game isn’t that popular as it used to be. It would be great for some laughs and nice watch.

Dude, I'm not sure what the problem is, but for some reason I feel less and less drive to keep playing this where as I used to play this non-stop to where it was sometimes a problem. I can't find out why. Like I barely play as much as I used to anymore unless it's with friends.

Honestly I want an new character that instead of a weapon, he just has metal gauntlets that he uses to beat the living shit out of people. That's a character I would main even if he's absolutely awful.
