Ghazala F. Hashmi (D-Chesterfield) and Del. Marcia S. “Cia” Price (D-Newport News) said in a written statement about a pair of identical bills they sponsored that would have put a right to obtain and use contraception into Virginia law. He wanted the bills to simply say people have access to contraception under federal law, providing no protection by the state. He went all bipartisan to avoid a budget crisis but after he signed that legislation he signed 8 and torpedoed the rest. That brings his total vetoes this year to 201. Among others he gave a thumbs down to measures that would have banned guns from psychiatric hospitals, closed tax loopholes for confederate "heritage" groups, and remind parents to store weapons out of children's reach. Women aren't the only ones who will be controlled by this. The poor will not be able to feed all the children they produce and will be forced to take ANY job, multiple jobs, in order to not watch their children starve. A starving population is much easier to control. THAT is the end game. Subdue the populace to let the overlords rule.

Here's how it is about abortion: The bill would probably have reduced the need for abortion by preventing pregnancy before it happens. So the veto actually increases demand for abortion. So there will be more abortions than there would have been if he had not vetoed it. So vetoing this bill was a pro-abortion action.
@RevShifty22 күн бұрын
It's also still an anti female healthcare bill. A lot of men seem to think birth control is just about preventing pregnancy. I know countless women who use it to help control erratic or extremely painful periods, and I'm sure plenty of other folks could say the same. This actively harms every woman doing that in VA. It's absolutely disgusting, no matter how you slice it.

It's not a good faith argument. Their goal is to control women and force births
@guidosarducci20921 күн бұрын
@@amyturpen4726 there is that too. In a sense I was ridiculing the governor by saying he was pro-abortion. My actual opinion is that the the economic goal is a steady increase in population. That's borne out by the fact that recently the birth rate in the United States has dropped below the replacement rate and stayed there consistently for years. That's why they are also harnessing men's economic resources. The whole thing is a concerted plan to increase the population of consumers to drive the economy. That's why even when abortion was considered a constitutional right, they were constantly interfering with anything that would reduce the number of babies born. And of course, that's why Roe vs. Wade was overturned, and why they are not stopping at abortion, and have been interfering with birth control, and why they've targeted planned Parenthood clinics, even ones that don't provide abortion. That's also the reason that men were never given reproductive rights and the myth was perpetuated that men just walk away all the time. In reality they might walk away sometimes but then the state will pursue them for child support even if the mother doesn't, if she applies for Medicaid or welfare for the child. There were even some cases where astonishingly men who were determined genetically not to be the father where nonetheless court ordered to continue child support payments. All this only makes sense in one context. We are all being harnessed as reproduction machines, women and men. We are trained that this is about the subjugation of women, so that instead of identifying the real enemy we fight amongst ourselves. Divide and conquer. It's not some wild conspiracy theory. The economy and our economic system is driven by population growth. Lately more and more countries have had what they've been calling "demographic crises." Italy is one of the more recent ones, and you can hear politicians starting to let the facade drop and try to tell people to have more children. I think the single place where it's most obvious has to be Russia, although I'm not sure it might be China. We need to band together as a population and demand that we all have reproductive rights because right now, the ones who have reproductive rights are the rich. I'm 61 so I have no horse in that race. I just care about what's right, and I care about my children. And without being overly patriotic, I do care about my country, and the people in it. And reproductive rights are not a zero-sum game. Giving them to men doesn't take them away from women. There is no way in which women would be forced to become parents just because men were not. That doesn't even make sense. When it's presented that way you know you're being manipulated.

Do not avert your gaze from what you see. For this is the honest truth about the right wing. It has been the truth since the birth of modern era politics in the late 1700's, and as long as we allow them any scrap of power it will remain the truth. Increasing sadism, control, exploitation, and the violent enforcement of deeply twisted systems is and always has been their aim. If they support anything, odds are it's something they think can be used to these ends. Don't trust them, don't defend them, stop pretending they are a legitimate political faction. They aren't. And if the majority of people, instead of pretending they are worth reaching or that the things they say and believe have any value, simply rejected them and their beliefs on mass, they'd stop being a threat... Because if there is one thing they can't stand, it's the idea that they aren't normal, that they are an outgroup. Fascists shut up when they are unable to delude themselves with an illusion of normalcy, and all other RWers fall in line when faced with the same scenario.

My brother's wife had a miscarriage several years ago and underwent a procedure known as a D&C (dilation and curettage) , a procedure often performed on a woman after a miscarriage or other issues. Since it involves scraping tissue inside the uterus it may be possible that some of the miscarried fetus's remaining tissue is removed. This is HEALTHCARE for the woman! Laws put in place by "holier than thou" politicians put a sizeable percentage of the American population (women) at risk because procedures such as this are illegal in many "red" states. Vote Blue!

A pregnant 18-year-old will less likely go to school or college and have a career. She will be more dependent on the father of her child, our children. The GOP isr going after no fault divorce. This may help the guys who cannot actually get a girlfriend or keep a wife. Young guys should also think about the implications. They may be a dad at age 19 and end up not finishing college because they have to work, to raise the children. Like the good old days from 100 years ago. This hurts everybody.

Some of them intend to push it beyond "She will be more dependent on the father of her child," all the way to "She will be the property of the father of that child." There's a man called Aron Ra who's been going through the bible verse by verse with some experts in various relevant fields, and there's an excerpt from one of those streams titled: "The Purpose and Value of Women in the Bible" that explains the role the (R) souls in government want women to have in the US.
