I think the difference was Mariah and Ariana were very distinctly different, aside from their powerhouse songbird voices. Whereas, you can clearly see this Maddison girl is “inspired” by Ariana fan. I’m not a fan of either, so I have no horse in this race, but I can’t help but notice too many of her style choices to be similar to Ariana. If she wants to set herself apart, she’s going to have to do a little better then that.

Ariana found her own sound eventually comparison stopped. Madison created one song that was very reminiscent of Ariana (and a lot of artists do songs that are reminiscent of other artist this isn’t an unknown thing) and the Arianators, or whatever they’re called, or doing the same thing to her that people were doing Ariana when she first started out.
