While I agree, I'd say there is another thing behind it. I would probably compare it a little bit to: -förstör inte julen för barnen. (don't ruin christmas for the kids) But that kind of insinuates things in a direction I'm not trying to portray in a youtube comment. In it's most pure form it's just entertainment, and whatever flies, flies. Just keep it flying. To quote Queen: Show must go on.

People only get a (what we'd call it, don't know if the translation does it justice) *snapshot* of a performance. They only see the 3-5 minutes and just call it talent, because they don't know what went into the eventual result that's being presented. I think this applies to a lot of things in our daily life. Taking movies as an example. People go to watch a movie and their opinion is based on what they see at the time, all the effort and details go unnoticed just due to ignorance (it's an ugly word but the literal meaning is: lack of knowledge or information). But to take it back to playing the guitar, people who play themselves will recognize that it takes a lot of practice whilst someone who's not very musically inclined will just think it's talent? Not the best way to word it, but it's difficult through written text anyway. I hope you catch my drift. I personally think talent applies more to being able to pick up something new/unknown and being naturally good at it without too much effort. The word 'talent' is just used too easily and kind of lost its meaning.

Ok, you asked. "Doing your own thing".....is what you do, when you are talented and your trying to live it, right? And this needs passion, maybe obsession. And the will to do it although it is tough. And maybe you need some luck to live a good life with your talent. Thats what I think.
