To my understanding there is no problem with the delivery times. It takes time to implement the fighter jet in the organisation, train pilots aso. Think deliveries so Brazil was prioritized before Sweden when Brazil bought the planes but quite close to what was planed in both countries. Or am i wrong? What sources do you have that there is problem with deliveries.

Aviation industry typically develop and certify systems and software to the most rigorous standards, such as RTCA/EUROCAE DO-178C, DO-254, DO-330 and ARP 4754​. Im sure Saab is no exception

The reason why Gripen is loosing to the F-35 is it doesn't have a heads up helmet mounted display system. It won't be able to compete until it gets it. Saab quit wasting time!

Helmet mounted display aka HMD was available already in the previous generation Gripen. If it doesn't have it it means the customer did not order it. BTW Night Vision Goggles are available as well

In 2020, Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace signed a contract with Marvin Engineering worth £11.5 million to supply air-to-air pylons for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. This because for example Meteor missiles won't fit (to long) in the internal weapons bay on F-35. Pylons became necessary = F-35 - Not stealth anymore...
