I feel they saw people praising the Chinese brawl star skins and decided to lean more into the flashy cool factor rather then skins actually being good and fitting the characters

because thats what skins are for it isnt to add more to the character or really fit in to the canon, its supposed to be flashy, its a cosmetic

Maybe to you, but 90% of everyone else but probably disagree. I forgot to mention the video game for clash mini (which is a prime example ) had a huge issue with that. Basically in the video game they had a lot of cosmetics but it almost entirely altered the characters looks making it incredibly difficult to tell what the opponents board was. At the end of the day. This is a really minor issue, I wouldn’t really care less for myself but I do wanna consider for the newer players out there who might have an issue with it.

dosent impact ranked at all and in ladder worst case scenario is you cant recgonize their mastery icon but you probably dont know what brawler youre facing well enough reguardless also for new players if anything the variety is more exciting than offputing in pretty much any game that has stuff like this

I never once stated, in the video that affects rank or ladder. It only affects new players. And it seems like a lot of the information you stated it’s kind of based on personal belief. Might be a possibility this new players could get excited. But based on what happens to other video games (I forgot to mention clash mini being a prime example) and the three examples, it’s clearly an issue. Regardless. Please don’t take it personally this issue it’s absolutely minor compared to what’s going on with the rest of brawl stars. For now I wouldn’t care less what happens with skins.

12:06 like tf2. In tf2 you can wear cosmetics that make your face straight up not recognizable. But your silhouette/ body shape tells what character you are, since they are so recognizable. Its nice commenting that because characters like Frank, Larry and Lawry, Pan, etc can have the most scromptious skins without caring too much about anything. Since their silhoutte will still be recognizable. Brawl stars needs more characters designs like these

As someone who returned to brawl stars recently after years , YES. Back when I was playing it was like 28 brawlers and just super and gadgets . There is gears , hyper charge and interchangeable gadgets now . Along with nearly 90 brawlers. The learning curve is high . The skin confusion just makes it more frustrating

I came back to brawl in 2024, being an og 2018 player, even i was confused a lot with a lot of the new skins. After that i just realized that mastery icons is the best way to identify the brawler without giving the opponents an advantage. Great vid btw

Too many haters here, the point is good but only applicable in early game, where players dont know what each brawler does and cant recognize them based on the attack. The best fix is a small icon under or near the healthbar of the brawler :)

Majority of everyone’s argument so far is “well It doesn’t apply to me which means it’s not anyone’s problem.”🧐 like you’re not the only one playing this game😭. Besides, it’s just a minor issue but I guess a lot of people take it personally…

Is everything an issue now? It really isn't that hard for new players to tell what brawler they are facing. With the vast majority of skins the brawler is still recognizable.

Your definition of big deal, is the community addressing the issue? I do not understand how that is a problem? There’s nothing big about it, unless it actually causes a significant problem with the core game. Regardless of what you think this is just a minor issue. I just wanna talk about it that’s all😭 nothing personal. You know what they say man know yourself and seek self-improvement.

i remember coming back from a year break and it took me a WHILE to get used to dozens of new brawlers. skins certainly didn’t help

The best fix is to bring an option which turns off all skins in the match , many shooter games have it, nice concept imo

The only time something like that happened to me was with the Odin skin for Cordelius. The first time i saw it i thought it was a new Poco skin. Spent days trying to find it in the Poco skins. When i told my friends i wanted this Poco skin they had a good laugh. Because aparently that cleary was Cordelius.

Okay I'm gonna yap a bit, but I honestly feel like this year has had just terrible updates. All of them are just reskins of each other, hell, even the toy story collab and pizza planet are ripped from the Godzilla and Spongebob event. They are rushing these updates and it's painfully obvious, there are SO many bugs in this game, Willow's super still has a bunch of bugs with it, a bunch of animation glitches happen every time a new update drops, the balance changes are almost worthless cuz they barely change up anything and avoid the brawlers that need them the most like Hank, Doug, Mico ect (yes ik Hank and Mico got buffed, but their buffs were either very smalls or totally unfitting). Another problem I have with most of the brawlers is that they are built very similarly, for the male brawlers they are either twinks or buff dudes and for the women they are either built like hourglass or they have the Lola build. It's gotten so bad that honestly some brawlers just feel like skins of other brawlers and not their own entities, like Berry could honestly be a Grom or Sam skin and it would fit, I think it was Spoob who said that, but when he first saw Juju he thought she looked a lot like Lola and ye. I think the reason why so many brawlers are very same-y now is cuz Fernanda is being forced to design them like that so the 3D modelers can make the models faster by reusing assets. I think everything went down hill from the brawl pass rework, cuz now they are forced to rush these updates out instead of polishing them and insuring they are quality. Hell, even the brawl talks became worse, now they are ADHD inducing slop that has the most unfunny jokes ever. They even stopped doing these cool brawler introduction animations. You can see how bad the situation has gotten they even forgot to mention Meeple's skin in this brawl talk. It feels like they are overly relying on content creators now to get proper information out instead of what they were doing before and just telling us everything. Over all I think this game is getting worse and worse with each update now, the devs don't even care anymore, the community is filled with racist and homophobic gremlins (aka 9yos) and I honestly have never seen so little community activity in years. Before people used to do these cool fan arts and brawler concepts, now I barely see these. All I'm seeing now is people desperatly trying to make concepts to fix this broken game and it's just annoying, there's no creativity in this community anymore, it even feels like brawl stars is neglecting or even trying to mock the community. One of the reasons why I hate Meeple is cuz he feels like a brawler that was made to mock this community, his voice lines complaining about RNG and the balance of the game come off as very antagonistic. Like the Braw team knows they are doing shit wrong, but they are doubling down and continuing to dig their grave. I miss old brawl, it's community and devs. Everything feels so wrong now, the toxicity, the laziness and negligence of the devs. I hope this game starts to fail soon, so the team realises they are going down the wrong path.

You are only providing reasons and your examples are people being unable to identity brawlers. Unless you provide an instance of people quitting or leaving because of this, every point you made was invalid

That not what the word invalid mean🤦‍♂️. It would be could be invalid if all the examples I provide were fake/false. Example are meant for unable to identify and not for their response of leaving BS. Not once did I say that. Look at the end of the day It’s like uhhh it’s an opinion 🤔. However to each there own
