I have read articles and interviews of Nancy Meyers, asking her about paint colors. She said that even if she told you what colors she used, they wouldn't be the same in your home because of the set lighting. So I haven't found any interview of Nancy that she has revealed the actual brand or color.

YAYYYY!! I just GASPED seeing that you were doing this one! It's Complicated isn't especially a good movie, HOWEVER - it is my absolute favorite comfort watch. I sometimes watch it on repeat when I'm really down, because her house, clothes, business, and her chemistry with Steve Martin are all just SO cozy and beautiful and comforting

Any time I watch a Nancy Meyers movie I always watch it twice. The first time I’m focused on the sets. Taking in every detail… the second time I focus on the story but… I still find myself being distracted by the surrounds. The Holiday is my favorite movie for set design. Grahams house is my dream home.

Tomas, thank you for this tour. I love Santa Barbara, even though I have only been there once, I want to go back. Sometimes I pop on Redfin just to see some of the lovely homes, and I follow a realtor who does tours. Nancy Meyers homes are wonderful for appearing upscale in that laissez faire way of old money, and as you say, curated over time. The materials are beautiful, but not treated as precious. They have that touch of wabi sabi welcome. 🥂

I read that the refrigerator arrived at the set dented. Rather than exchange it, Nancy Meyers kept it because it looked more authentic to Jane’s heavy kitchen use and added to her desire to renovate. That's her genius mind at work!
