As much as I love Chuck Dixon, Birds of Prey really needed a woman's touch. Gail brought that like a 40-person raid boss. And she elevated the whole cast's portfolio, which is an actual flex.

Lady Shiva is better than Batman in martial arts for sure. I believe it's Lady Shiva Batman Black Canary and than Cassandra Caine but eventually Cassandra will probably be number 1in the future. But I think Karate Kid is no joke either.

I feel harley quinn was a editorial choice to be on this team just to put her face on another book. I think characters like vixen, onyx, hawkgirl or even new characters like red canary would make more since.

Ok, so this is killing me... never been a big BoP fan, the reason I'm thinking about this run is mostly for Zealot. When I heard she was going to be on this team, I was like 'most DC fanboys won't know her' plus they are just going to have her be a reskinned Katana, complete with big red circle on her head. So I was gonna pass... but I still want to know why, other than to pull on WS fans like me. So, I'm trying to think connections... -Zealot should not be getting along with Harley. -Grifter and Dinah know eachother. But I don't know how Z owes Canary anything. - in the current Wildcats book, Batman, Black Canary, and Arsenal want to fight them - back in Batman Urban Legends 6, Zealot 'fights' wonder woman to get a blood sample... idk what ever came of that.
