Let's talk about the XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro in 2023

I bought one last year and i don't regret it one bit. I'm currently watching this video on it while drawing.

I have had the regular 15.6 for years and have not ever regretted it. I just recently upgraded to the 24 pro but you can't go wrong with any of them.

Honestly, I was looking for my first screen tablet to buy and thought about getting the 15.6 one, because its at a low price . but had my doubts about it after seeing older reviews. tho this vid confirmed it XD was also thinking about getting the Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2) or 14 version (since that one is cheaper) haha thank you for this lovely video! 🙏

I would love to see a direct comparison between the XP-Pen Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2) and the Cintiq 16. In terms of sensation when drawing, but mainly in terms of quality and durability. I know that the Cintiq 16 is inferior in terms of technical specifications, but I'm still considering buying it because I still don't know how long this XPPen will last, but I know that Wacom is reliable in this regard.

To be honest, after playing with the Pro 16 GEN1, it's a direct competitor to the Cintiq 16 already! I'm assuming the GEN2 will be complete overkill in the best ways.

I'd buy it because it's my only option, found a used one for a good price, tested it and noticed a heavy difference in pressure imput compared with my intuos M and stabilization, that I feel covers my needs way better, not to mention the monitor' size is great for me.

Double check my doc at least in the description, there are a lot of units that are very close in price, totally possible those can be found cheap used as well!

I believe at that time I was using the PA2, which is one of the pens that worked on the 15.6 Pro. Separate purchase, was only like 16 bucks or something.

I bought the Xppen Artist 15.6 pro about a year ago and it wasn't until I bought a Wacom One Stylus for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 6s lite that I Noticed the Pressure inconsistency of the 15.6 pro. At first I thought the stylus was broken because I had been using my Samsung for almost a month exclusively due to it's portibility making the difference a stark contrast. Alas after buying another replacement Stylus for the for the 15.6and seeing the problem was the same on Both let me know that it had always been there and I just thought it was normal for that inconsistency due do it being a digital drawing device, leading me to sketch in pencil then scan in the sketch and draw overtop of the analog sketch in a new layer. I still like the 15.6 pro A LOT but it will now be used for lineart and Coloring NOT sketching

@@XPISigmaArt Will do ;) Btw could you try this test on the Gen 2 stylus? I have found a way to make the Stylus problem show reliably. You Rapidly draw short vertical lines trying to match amount of hand pressure on all the lines as best you can, then move your hand a quarter inch or so to the side after each line, using a brush that has size set to pressure sensitivity, as well as opacity if your software will allow it. Even though the lines will all look a bit different, with a good stylus most will look about the same, but the with the 15.6 there will be ones WAY thicker or Way thinner and short/late and you will see clumps of them

No and no. The dial is just a nice to have with changing zoom/size. Not a must have.

I want to upgrade from my non display tablet to a display one. Would you recommend wacom one, xp pen artist pro 15.6 or artist 16 2nd gen, the wacom one is currently on discount so they are all cost pretty much the same where i live

Nah it's cool lol. I'm just a budding artist, like "still learning lines and perspective" new. I wouldn't be able to appreciate the differences between the 2 products anyway because I don't have enough experience with the medium. Hopefully more people get to see this before the sale ends. @@XPISigmaArt
