Well put Kent. I have been frustrated by the “balanced and varied” myth for a long time even before I went to carnivore. It is completely unscientific - no one can tell you what exactly is a balanced diet ‘specifically’. It is only a nebulous thing. And so called diet experts will only ever say things like ‘well try more/less of this or that’ and send you on your way. It’s absolutely crazy. Hopefully some people will get your message herein. As long as carbon sequestration is present with each herd, you could scale it, but theres never a time that all humans go carnivore. Most people won't be eating lots of red meat every day. to me the concept of balancing out diet has never made sense when those same concepts also always declare some food groups as good and others as bad. Logically speaking, why would you ever want to add the bad stuff to your diet? I guess if you subscribe to the mainstream narrative that plants are good and meat is bad, that explains why people think vegan diets are healthy. But all the other trend diets like mediterranean, paleo, flexitarian, or even keto, they all allow for some foods which people know are bad for them, yet they still eat them. To me, carnivore is the only diet that makes sense from a nutritional standpoint, and it's inherently balanced for nutrients.

I was keto for ages, vego-keto with fish, vegetarian as it had been our choice for ages since BSE, and fish because I had crohhs & UC, and knew I wasn't getting enough protein. The whole keto thing was so hard as it allowed small amounts of the addictive stuff, the carbs, and lots of inflammatory stuff, the veg. It was a huge relief to find carnivore, and stop the "false food" treadmill of keto. Keto bread was my worst mistake, and all the keto "cheats".

Balance diet means, "eat whatever you want to eat" BUT = If you malnutrition be aware of it and make small adjustments. If you are very obese, be aware of it and make small adjustment. The word "balance" means "small adjustments" in your current diet that will make you better. If you jump between diets 4 times a year, you wont achive anything. Balance diet is very individual. Some have sweet tooth, some are like little squirells. The whole point of balance diet... is to MAKE YOU FEEL EVERYDAY LIKE YOU ARE NOT ON ANY DIET, yet you making small adjustments to reach your goal.

Now that's a razor that cuts through delusion. Starting the human-appropriate diet was the catalyst that made me realise my teenage intuition was right after all. @kentcarnivore2 ай бұрын
They don't. The blue zones eat mostly pork, fish, fermented dairy, and red meat. If you visit any of the blue zones, you'd realise they don't exist. Humans throughout history have eaten fatty red meat. There is no such thing as an essential plant, carbohydrate, fibre, or polyphenol. Every essential nutrient required for optimal human health is found within fatty red meat alone.
@fashqumil2 ай бұрын
@@kentcarnivore But centenarians themselves say this is what they eat, never mind wether blue zones exist or not. Yeah every essential nutrient is in fatty meat just I haven't seen any long term controlled trials or long cohort studies on this, do you know any? In fact, the current research generally suggests a negative association between red meat consumption and longevity even if I personally find the studies I've read quite flawed. Given this, it would seem like the logical thing is to look at what the world's oldest people eat as the carnivore diet is not a new thing so you'd assume some carnivore centenarians would still be around, right?
