I’m so glad you did this video. I just made a Brahmi mask that I’m about to use and it’s really slept on. These herbs and foods I use on my hair are so good that I don’t even use commercial brands anymore. God bless you, Sister in Christ!

bhringraj is a best kept secret, also adding 1 tsp of aloe powder to your amla adds moisture. Next up on my to try list will be hibiscus powder. I’m working on calming my scalp after cutting of 36” locs I’d worn for nearly 3 decades.

I've used Brahmi b4 and I wasn't a fan of it along w henna! The 1 herb that I really enjoyed is Neem powder! Infact, I just order more Neem powder. Between Neem, aloe Vera & hibiscus though my hair shows out in a great mighty way!

I love cassia, Amla, and fenugreek. Lately, nothing was getting my curls to act right and I hadn't used ayurveda in months. Last night I added moringa and ambunu tea and aloe powder to my mix, and my curls were poppin. And it was oil free! *chefs kiss* If you experience dryness or difficulty rinsing, always follow up with conditoner. I hypothesize that the dryness is coming from binding hydrophilic agents to the cuticle so it acts like a protein treatment (and protein is a humectant).

I’ve tried French (green) clay mixed with marshmallow root powder, alfalfa powder, rose water, bottled water, black seed oil & castor oil on my 4c hair last week instead of using shampoo last week & my 4c hair felt so radiant & hydrated!!! I’ve tried other clays before but my hair absolutely loves this one best!! I’ve also tried alma powder, tea rinses, red clay, Indian healing clay. I also started drinking fenu Greek seed tea for hair growth & clear skin. (I don’t like putting it in my hair bc the smell is very strong…..You are giving me ideas Grace!!! The next one I want to try is neem mixed with the green clay, ashwaganda powder, amla powder, vanilla bean powder & my favorite oils. I also did a turmeric face mask for the first time today! I’m excited to see the results after a few uses. I love using natural diy products on my hair bc it’s so hard to find products that work for me especially shampoos (so Im really happy I found the green clay.)

This year I'm doing ayurvedic for the entire year. I've use it in the past, just not exclusively. I've used Henna, Amla, Hibiscus, Fenugreek and will be doing Bringraj soon. My hair is super healthy and mid back length.

Girl, I am so tickled. I did a Fenugreek mask 2 weeks ago. Well I have one of those microscopes that you have, and I've been checking my scalp. It's like I didn't wash it all out. My scalp is white over most of the head, and some parts have cracked so it looks like dandruff. It doesn't hurt or itch but I'm going to the dermatologist tomorrow, just to make sure that everything is okay. 😂😂😂😂😂 I have to laugh to keep from crying 😢😢😢😢😢. Thanks for the video

I have never used heard nor used Brahmi powder. I do love using Neem,Amal,Fenugreek,Moringa and Hibiscus powders with my favorite oils. Lately I have done nothing but wash and condition and my thin strands telling on my too. Will get back to doing better on my next wash day tonight. Have anybody tried Chebe powder??

I bought chebe powder , haven’t used it yet , still trying to find the best way to do so. From all my research it should be used in the hair strands and not the scalp. I’ll try it when I find the best way to do it 👋🏽

I’ve tried to use Brahmi powder (with a bit of shikaikak) before and it made my hair so dry and brittle I thought my curls would snap off in my hand like ice sickles! I mixed it into my oil blend and conditioner and it was borderline traumatic. Any tips to avoid the stiffness?

Don’t use it as often! Maybe monthly! Sounds like this has a lot of protein, you don’t want to over do it. Once a month for protein treatments! Stick to the regular Shampoo. And conditioner/leave in. The basics are THE MOST important for hair growth. If your scalp is dirty/dry/clogged your hair won’t grow! Also, hair can’t be repaired

Make sure you’re clarifying before using powders, since they attach to your strands. Mix aloe powder and rose powder with it. Rinse very thoroughly with conditioner. It’s normal to take a couple washes to rinse powders out completely, so don’t be afraid to wash again within 3-4 days. There’s zero protein in Brahmi.
@Leah_Tewari

First make sure you detox your hair and scalp first. Then add in a splash of vinegar to all of your mixes. And if you’re not used to using the powders alone, add only a teaspoon of the powder to your favorite moisturizing deep conditioner.
