I loved this interview!!! I Have been wanting to teach myself distortion vocals for so long and just fearful of damage to the clean vocals I already have.

Awesome video! I was wondering if you had any exercises that would help high voices expand their lower range? Thank you!

Hi Whitney! Question: is it safe to use the Singing Straw Pro in water? Will this cause rusting overtime?
@SingingStraw3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, you can use the S/S in water! It will help give you a bit more resistance :)

Love this! I tried learning some distortion and ended up giving up 'cause I was so afraid of injuring myself. Maybe I'll try again at some point.

I want to be able to get that great Peter Gabriel, Don Henley texture of distortion but I can NOT figure out how to do it correctly. I've tried and tried. Come on Whitney, SHOW us what to do please!

SO helpful. I’m looking forward to the teacher training!! I haven’t been consistent with my practice, but after a year, I’m able to sustain some “xtina” growls.. that might sound a little more Louis Armstrong than Christina ?? 😂 But I’ve done exactly what you mentioned. Only a few attempts at a time. Singing straw is helpful especially afterwards!

Mam i'm using straw wood i feel it help with resonance ,breathing control,make my voice strong but i hve one questn is straw wood safe for voice ? Sorry for my english 😊
@SingingStraw3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, good question! It should be just fine. Though, the sizing of a wood straw might be a bit different and give you a different amount of resistance.

distortion comes naturally for me and I can apply on my singing, but I'd love to learn to growl too
