Detroit has the best o-line in football. They are the best team because of it. They can pass at will, Goff has like an 82% completion rate the last five games. More TDs than incompletions. They can run it whenever they need to to salt games away. If the Packers play a clean game it would've been a great game, it wasn't. Time to get back to work and improve, we did it last year, we can do it again. This division is no joke, they need to go at least 3-1 in division games down the stretch. I have faith in Love and this team. GPG!!

Maxx Crosby is not a Reggie White, but he would be an exceptional upgrade for the defense.

our defense played a hell of a game against arguably the best offense in the league. Held them to 17 pts and only 260 yds.
@nickdarr73288 күн бұрын
But those numbers are meaningless. What happened after green Bay got within 10? The lions got 1st downs at will and Montgomery slid to stop from scoring a TD. The lions were just killing time and making sure everyone was healthy after their opening score in the 2nd half
@jerellhurtado94868 күн бұрын
To be fair, had the packers threatened at all, the lions likely woulda stepped on the gas. Lions appeared to be coasting after gaining a comfortable lead and realizing that GB wasn’t a threat.
@HyzersGR8 күн бұрын
It was raining sideways and Detroit took 3 knees in GB’s red zone to end the game. They definitely went into turtle mode most of the 4th quarter as well.
@russdadda8 күн бұрын
@@nickdarr7328I was saying this also. The stats don’t mean anything. If you actually watched the game you’d realize Detroit was in complete control after that pick 6 really.

@@jerellhurtado9486The second half defensive play is kind of meaningless to me because the Lions were in coasting mode, but the first half the Packers defense played really well except for the 4th down in the red zone they kept the game in reach until Love threw that horrible pick six.
@davidschurman32308 күн бұрын
The defense only gave up 17 points, but the Lions backs ran for over 130 yards. Goff and St.Brown picked up first downs at will. The defense is lacking run stopper and edge rushers. GB was outplayed and out coached. The same ole issues week after week.

How do you incentivize mental toughness? What is it for these players and coaches? Is it integrity, money? Do they need yelling and screaming to motivate? 9 games and we have established patterns; penalties, drops, interceptions, diminished red zone offense. It's tiring as a fan to hear the coaches/player lip service at these pressers. Oh, it was a huge coaching mistake to start J. Love.

As a lions fan I think, from a rival’s perspective, that Jayden Reed will be in Amon Ra territory soon. He’s already really good.
@nickdarr73288 күн бұрын
But remember those 8 points came after a taunting on lions changed a 4th and 4 to 1st and goal. So even without mistakes green Bay needed a lions mistake to make the game look somewhat respectable
@kathyaschenbach80818 күн бұрын
Yes but if you look at Sats the Packers actually best them. They lost but take the mistakes out the Packers would have won.
@nickdarr73288 күн бұрын
@kathyaschenbach8081 look at lions v titans last week Titans had 450 yards to lions 250 but the lions won 52 to 14. If you took the Packers mistakes out of the game the lions would have played an entirely different game and still would have won based on what we saw yesterday. It's just silly to say if you took away the mistakes. The other team causes mistakes. Love didn't hand the ball to kerby Joseph and tell him to run for a lions TD. Stats don't mean anything because you do the simplest plays needed to win. If anything it just shows how easy it was for lions to beat green Bay. They had to do so little to have the game won early 3rd quarter
@HyzersGR8 күн бұрын
@@kathyaschenbach8081the stats say the Lions won 24-14. Yards are meaningless when they aren’t turned into points.

The Packers need to finally eliminate the gold package. The Milwaukee fans sell too many of their tickets, and there are way too many opposing fans in Lambeau.
@darrishill94838 күн бұрын
I think MLF is going to have to simplify the offense a bit. I feel that’s where all the penalties come from. It stems from pre snap adjustments and assignments after the ball is hiked. The offense has to think more than they need to

I like Hines Allen from Jags. He’s 27. Has a big deal that maybe Jacksonville wants to get out of. Could send LVn Preston and a 2. He’s got more bend on the edge. Gives nice combo with Gary. Let’s Enagbare/Mosby/Cox be backups. And you have contacts to restructure next year for cap space (Love, X, Jaire, Gary, Jenkins, etc)

Jordan Love is the star and is the future, but when an entire drive was blown because Jordan couldn't get under backup center for the snap, THAT's when I knew Malik should have been in the game. Backup center in pouring rain and you want shotgun all the time? Nope. We're lucky Love didn't get hurt worse trying to pick the ball off the ground.

I don’t see a Lions team that is more talented than the Packers - the exception being at QB right now where Geoff is a difference-maker. But Detroit is more disciplined, tough-minded, and confident, which reflects well on their coach. The Pack continues to make the same (mostly mental) mistakes, with the boneheaded penalties, drops, and senseless picks. And that reflects on LaFluer. Brilliant offensive mind and a players’ coach, but his teams are undisciplined.

Does anyone else think the Packers would be better on the road in the playoffs? The sad reality is that Lambeau is not as much of an advantage as it once was. They're not a cold weather and dominate line of scrimmage team. They would lose again to the Lions at home in January. The Packers rely on a dynamic passing offense and they need a dome in January to do that.

When are we going to admit the first round picks are so inferior to other division teams. Stokes quay Wyatt and LVN have overall been negative players over the last 4-5 years. Lions Vikings have Sewell JJ Addison Darrisaw Hutchinson Gibbs etc. elite players that produce elite results. Yes Gute can find nice mid round players. But not finding the elite players has hurt this team.
@evanenglish86358 күн бұрын
I agree with you but aren’t all those players really high draft picks? Like I think every one of those guys the packers didnt have a chance at right?
@scooter59408 күн бұрын
From an overall personnel perspective, Gutekunst has been pretty good. But yes, too many first-round picks are not really having much impact right now. The book has not yet been written on several of the players you mention, though.
@ripack788 күн бұрын
@@evanenglish8635yes lions had the benefit of stinking for 10 years to get cracks at those players. Packers rarely get that chance. I wish Gute would trade up sometime to get an elite talent. Not a RAS project

@ agreed. The strategy of drafting first round picks that are project players is tough for me to understand. The one time he did trade up in the first, he hit an absolute home run in drafting Jordan Love, so we gotta give him credit for that.
