The simple fact that BOBOVR actually went above and beyond in their customer service is something to be commended. The bigger brands could learn some lessons from these people. I now feel much more comfortable ordering any of their products. I already have one of their head straps for the Quest 2 and it is fantastic also.

I kinda agree since they already exist like with all the super expensive headsets that are used mostly by companies and the military for training, a consumer headset should be able to do all of the things but I do think at the very least to get rid of some of the bloat a gaming specific headset would be nice for those of us who only play games and want the best VR gaming experience possible.

Having same hardware but different style of headset sounds great. For example headset design for holo stap, like remove battery from front and using more softer face mask.

I kinda wish Meta would make the hand-tracking for menu interfaces based on where you're looking, rather than where you're pointing, because the tracking on pointing is garbage. It's incredibly fiddly, particularly since pinching your finger and thumb together invariably moves where you're pointing, so there's *so* many mis-clicks. If it could track my hand for the pinch but use where I am looking (yes, even without eye-tracking, it can be in the centre of the display) for pointing, it'd be *so* much easier to use. As it stands, I prefer using my controllers because they're precise.

If you've kept up with your updates have you enabled the option to use hand tracking based touch screen mode? Allows you to use the menu like a tablet or phone rather than using the pointer.

Speaking of Hand tracking, I enjoy it for some things and think it is pretty decent. It could be a better of course but fun. There are a couple things that drive me nuts about it 1. Give me a quick toggle to turn it on and off...When playing certain games or something it drives me nuts it is tracking my hands. 2. Don't make me go through the "Walk through" every time I turn it on 3. More games need to use it, like Bigscreen.

I just received the Aubika grip rechargeable covers and they stopped working twice in the middle of the games ugh..had to restart my headset then they worked again. Hopefully they will get back to me with a solution. Just got my quest 3 and wanted to get a separate one for my kids for Christmas. This is my 1st time ever using a VR headset

@@nelsonngu The XR glasses arent good its just a screen that streams from your phone I think and it doesnt use cameras to keep it in place so its kinda pointless to me. I got the 128gb because quest games take up like 3-8gb on average and some (not many) take up 30-40gb. I dont have many games like 7 maybe and i have 70gb left of storage. I just cant reccomend the 512 because you arent playing that many games at once.

Of course after I just get a Quest 3 this comes out! But, the Kicker is, this is my first headset EVER and my mind is blown AWAY!!! Super COOL and no regrets whatsoever! Hopefully I get used to it after awhile though, because when I play for hours and take it off, I'm like "Where am I at, is this reality or the other World"! They can seriously limit fracturing at the start by requiring the minimum hardware spec to be quest 3 level hardware. The Linux kernel that runs under Android already has an extreme amount of support, since all Android already uses it.

Yes! Hand tracking to me is a little novelty and pretty much never good enough to actually use for any game or experience I want to enjoy. It's more of a quick thing to click a button in a pinch and even then it feels buggy half the time

@@jaybratt This is my case currently, I haven't ever had or tried a vr, and im getting into vr just now because i have saved up 300€ (im in EU), and looking to buy one mostly for entertainment and some games that i will play alot like beat saber, i also have a pc but its not that good, its barely enough to play pcvr on the pico but i dont mind playing at lower fps and i wont be playing much high graphics games so i think pico 4 is perfect for me because i dont want the quest 2, its old and i want a color passthrough and some other things like pancake lenses because alot of people are complaining about frensel lenses,but people are saying its not worth it to get pico and quest 3s could be a good purchase but im a very impatient person. So if you have any advice id be very thankful

Ditching the Pancake lenses, which bulks out the headset/visor itself was a poor decision IMO. we're supposed to Slim and trim down future Quest VR headsets in hopes of finally getting them to transition into lighter thick glasses. It's a backwards design no doubt.

quest pro in 2027? That's disappointing. The Pro has started shining bright as a alternative for PCVR players who want face tracking, and really only has a few key issues that need resolving. Was hoping for at least a chipset update and cameras.... the pro sits in this weird limbo where, it's the more expensive headset and has only half the features of the Q3 due to processor and hardware restraints. It'd really shine with a modern chip, and a controller rework. but 2027....... yikes.............

I would love to have headsets for different purposes. One headset for only fitness and one headset for gaming and movies. I already have that, but unfortunately the wrong ones. I use my Quest3 mainly for all and have a Pico4 that I use as well. But the headset like my Pico4 as a fitness headset would be awesome. I already did similar with my computers. My old PC is mainly for movies and internet, the newer PC for gaming and my laptop to deal with all (the laptop connected through remote desktop to the other two PC's) and via Virtual Desktop I can access all computers with my Quest or Pico. I'm already considering in buying another Quest that would be used only for fitness. Then, after an hour or so fitness I just take it off and can watch my movies with a fully charged dry headset. Maybe the Quest3s is going to be my next fitness headset.

People gotta make a choice . Do they want VR to get better or do they want it to move slower . Cause this is how it gets better faster . Suck it up folks , this IS the plan . Looking very forward to quest 4 and all the lighting fast progress we get along the way . No matter what it would be nice if people stopped contradicting themselves in their opinions of VR lol . Still building a userbase, most VR has to be catered to new users , adults don’t adapt to VR as easily as kids . This isn’t rocket science . Meta is spending its way to whatever mass adoption number they want , it is just a matter of time . VR will go down as the baffling tech to finance guys , they just cannot wrap their head around this is not about profit …. yet . They think it’s taking too long … but not taking into consideration that VR has the most friction any tech has ever had . Requires a learning process , humans are stubborn and ignorant in general so this has to be forced . The speed of progress is not only good but almost needed to get VR to mainstream in our lifetimes . That may not have happened if Meta wasn’t doing this . Any other opinion not taking these things into consideration about the “ state of VR “ is just a bunch of guessing and likely wrong . Just be happy with the speed of progress I say , cause it is how ALL VR gets better faster . Period

The things I associate with Horizons is kids screaming and avatars getting uncomfortably close to making me feel very triggered so I spend about 10 seconds in any Horizon world before hitting quit. So not a genius rebrand from my point of view.

It still is, but at this rate Meta is turning the whole thing into cell phones where every year something new comes out... it makes it very hard for consumers to decide if they want to buy or wait, then before you know it all you're doing is waiting and waiting and never getting into VR. Consumers need to be able to trust and ever since the Quest 1 launched for $500 and the Quest 2 came out just ONE YEAR LATER for only $400 it rocked a lot of people's faith in these purchases :(

honestly I think that if they really go the way they seem to want to go now with their different Quest for different purpose, it's only going to spread thinner the already thin VR base group that we are.... Not a lot of people are able to tolerate VR for a long time at the start and one or two bad experience can make them go away never to return. I think they should concentrate on better imaging and less destabilizing experience for people and then do a multi market release.... Then again I guess that doing that now might appeal to non-gamers and offer them the hardware for their needs... man I don't know now I'm arguing with myself XD lol

The wireless VR ecosystem has felt more like the phone market than the console market. I remember how wild it was at the time that a Quest 2 launched ONE YEAR after the Quest and $100 CHEAPER!! Now that just feels like a pretty normal situation in this world

That's mostly just Quest headsets and even then it mostly applies to standalone ones, PCVR will basically take your headset for as long as the thing will work....

I'd say this pacing is fine as long as they continue to be meaningful upgrades (the way they have been so far). At this rate those who barely bought the Q3 can get the Q5 in 6 years & those who stuck with the quest 2 can get the quest 4.
