To clarify about wanting to look through her/his phone. This is the beginning of a breakup. This isn't used in a normal functioning relationship, it's when you're quite sure something is going on behind your back and you have no proof but are tired of the bullsh*t. It's the pin on a grenade, once you pull it, you should be sure that she is up to something and she will say no, then you walk away and break up with them. Good relationships don't require this type of assertive behavior.
@chewbacca47784 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that clarification. I thought that sounded a bit off because that's the kind of thing you do to a child, and if you're with someone you're treating like a child, you just shouldn't be with that person. There was one other point I disagreed with but I can't remember which, so I'll have to go back through the video. But yeah, this point (above) stood out to me as being very worrisome.

As far as I'm concerned, if I happen to ask to use your phone because mine is far away or something like that, and you get weird about it, that's a major red flag. Unless there are other indicators of something being amiss, as Joker stated above, it's none of my business what's in another person's phone.

And that always means you'll eventually be lumped in as well. As soon as the break up happens is when she suddenly starts telling everyone what an asshole you are and how you mistreated her, even though previously you were Mr. Perfect. I don't know what that is really. That need to chop a guy down after it's over. Gotta be mostly psychological and emotional. But they have a desperate need to emasculate a man once they're ready to take a swing on the monkey branch. Best thing a man can do is just go his own way. One of my biggest red flags is when I hear a woman say, "I tell it like it is, I don't care who it hurts!" or "I'm brutally honest!" or "I don't sugarcoat things." For me, this is definitely one of the biggest red flags. It demonstrates a complete lack of desire (or potentially ABILITY) to grow as a person and learn from mistakes. Later into our relationship she told me about times when she had punched her step-father and ex-husband in the face during arguments. Sheesh, I still ended up falling in love with her but what a stressful relationship that ended up being.

Can attest. I broke up with one of these so I'm making a public journal entry :) Don't forget taking care of them, the stressful too short walks because 3 energetic and undisciplined dogs are difficult to deal with on one wrist as using both just gets the leads twisted. The all too familiar smell of piss and shit mixed with bleach and incense. The litter box you're tired of cleaning, but if you don't it won't be touched. Even if you don't pay directly, it'll still cost you, especially if you live together and split bills. With no savings they'll throw their half and more at an animal like it's their child and expect you to be OK with it. Of course, if you were, you two would be on the street. It only scales up too. Another rescue, another "special needs", another one thats needs extra attention that will never be given past two weeks, another fight they get in because despite their "noble" intentions, they're shitty pet owners and despite keeping the animals alive, are causing more harm than good. All this makes for more food, meds, temporary highs, and "one off" trips to the vet. It doesn't even have to be about public validation, there's something deeply flawed about these kinds of people, they're trying to care and fix something else because they can't do it to themselves. It's the one thing they can latch on to and say "see! I did something good, I am good, my real and perceived flaws are that much smaller now". Absolutely wasted effort. But here's a silver lining, they're doing this to an animal instead of a real child; that mess of genetics and behavior won't continue. Usually. In the stereotype, which usually exist because they're true: Modern society is deeply sick and is making women's natural maternal instincts and neuroticism go absolutely haywire. They're miserable and desperately trying to fill a sense of purpose with some Frankenstein notion of a biological purpose. Those kinds of people need a responsible person to help fund their obsession, but they end up resenting them for not having the same zeal. A sick game. And that my friends is my Ted talk, and the reason you should never ever ever date someone that is super in to animals. It's not just money, it's lifestyle and personality.

This is a good one if you can’t tell if she’s toxic or not. If you find that after you hang out with her all your energy is sapped, like you need a nap every time you meet her, that’s a sign she’s an energy vampire. Run for the hills

That's interesting, I'll have to watch for it. Thanks.
@charlesbell55004 жыл бұрын
Couldn't it possibly be that she's just a genuinely energetic person? My best bud's like that. It's not always necessarily a red flag is it? Well it depends on what you mean by "saps your energy". Do you need to nap because of exhaustion due to a fight that always takes place? In that case yeah, but....
@alphamorion43144 жыл бұрын
@@charlesbell5500 "Energy vampires" are real, dude. People that, even if they are just awesome in every single way, at the end of the meeting leave you frickin' EXHAUSTED. Is not a red flag per se... meaning: if she is, it doesn't mean that she is a bad person, or a liar, or anything. She might be truly awesome. But if she is an "emergy vampire", with all of her awesomness, you will still feel frickin' exhausted every single time you meet with her: that is not good for your long-term well-being, that is way is also a... maybe orange flag. If you can discuss the issue with her and come to an agreement that actually works out, then it's all good
@Zamolxes774 жыл бұрын
VERY good one ! Very good ! I didn't expect to find this here, but someone beat me to it. I will add to it. If after having sex with her for the first time, your next day is shot, with lack of energy, irritability, not wanting to do anything, headaches and a profound need to sleep, run AWAY. Some vampires wait and attract you with good vibes, they make an energy investment to get you in the sack, and once they do, they drain you. Is a more parshive vampire like the one Charles described. In some cases, they're actually possessed by a demon, that uses her partners to feed himself.

Bottom line here: Don't rush into anything with relationships. Always take things slowly. People cover up their red flags early on, but it gets more difficult as the months go by. If you've already moved in with someone before the red flags start, it's tougher to get out of the relationship unscathed.

1. Treats the defenseless poorly. (children, animals, wait staff, cashiers, etc). 2. Behaves poorly when anonymous or certain there will be no repercussions. 3. Loud in quiet public locations such as quiet restaurants, theaters, etc. 4. Always blame the victims of their actions, especially when the victim is not at fault. "If you didn't do X, then I wouldn't have to punish you with Y." 5. Pretends to be the victim when someone finally reacts to their continuous aggressive/annoying behavior. 6. Always weaseling out of their past actions and statements, never accepting they were wrong even in the face of definitive proof. 7. Obsessive rule follower. Obeys all signs, obeys the dictate of anyone with a uniform or a badge or a title without question. 8. Obsessive rule breaker. Breaks rules without questioning them or why they exist. 9. Hypocrisy. Expects others to behave in ways they themselves do not. 10. Never volunteers. To help, to pay, to drive, to plan, to solve problems. 11. Doesn't clean up after themselves when in other people's houses. 12. Either fails to return borrowed items without being hounded by the lender or returns borrowed items in poor condition. 13. Uses words to substitute for action. Says "Sorry." but never does anything to correct the problem or explain why it is legitimately not their problem to correct or not a problem at all. 14. Can't entertain themselves. Always bored unless someone or something is entertaining them.
