I hate feeling so negative about it. The trailer gave me seriously Guardians of the Galaxy vibes and that doesn't sit right with me. Disney needs to stop trying to turn Star Wars into Marvel

This should be a movie. It doesn't have the darker tone that carries Stranger Things across a series. This is Goonies. A 90-minute kids adventure in the galaxy of Star Wars. Make this a movie, and if it hits, make a sequel? I don't know what Lucasfilm is thinking. That said, I hope kids love it and I'll definitely give it a chance.

It could be the ship (and implied treasure) is really old... or it could just be from the Prequel/High Republic era. There is a mention of "Old Republic credits" in the trailer, but Filoniverse has been somewhat inconsistent about what the Old Republic is. It's referred to in a couple of TCW episodes implying it's an earlier period (Pre Vizla in his and the Darksaber's introductory episode mentions "fall of the Old Republic"), but in the post-RotS stuff published under Disney the usual context refers to the Republic which's fall we see in epIII. IIRC the first reference to the Old Republic is in the original movie in which Ben Kenobi mentions the Jedi guarding Peace and Justice in the Old Republic, but Tarkin call the Emperor disbanding the Senate wiping away the last remnants of the Old Republic, impying Old Republic refers to the one from the Prequels.

I think it can be really good and fun. What if they pushed a button that continues the trip that the ship was going, before what ever happened to the crew. Can also be a home button of course. Still it can only mean a dangerous trip

I'm really excited...for Andor. This show (and trailer) feels like a palate cleanser after The Acoyshyte, and if I were a younger viewer, I'd probably eat this up...but this type of stuff hasn't appealed in a long time for me.

If they want to bring in the kids, they really need to make the main stories PG or TV-Y7 again. Everything being PG-13 and TV-14 is going to steer parents of younger kids away... and it rarely makes the stories better. Revenge of Sith needed to be PG-13 for story reasons... everything else feels like it's just tossing stuff in to get the PG-13 rating.

It feels like a fun and interesting show. but more like after not getting any bites from studios, the writer just slapped the star wars logo on it. And my 2 cents are that in the end the kids are right and save everything and it's the parents who need to change for the kids who were right all along.

I've watched both trailers and neither raised nay red flags for me, like The Acolyte trailer did, it hasn't sparked any interest either. It just looks kinda lame and I really like Goonies. I know a lot of people want Hondo, I find him annoying and would rather than have him appear but I'm sure they'll key jangle him or have a brief cameo. DLF can't help themselves.

Why do the aliens speak English??? This was one of the cool things about old Star Wars. The aliens had different languages. Transported me to a galaxy far far away. Now everyone just have regular American accents. Like, not even an interesting foreign sounding one. It's boring.

It feels somewhat like the Ewok movies, which is what upsets me about it: it could be great for what it is and Canon won't be affected by it ever again, nor will it indicate canon going forward, it will just break lore and norms for no reason but to appeal to the entire family, made middling sales and when we get a switch up everything will swing too far from this to ever get anywhere because this gets dismissed as an anomaly due to the market😢

That's my problem with the trailer, music used for it. It just doesn't feel like Star Wars and was way out of place. Like that pop song used in The Acolyte...I have a fear this is going to be the new norm with Disney Star Wars.
