HOW MUCH POWER DOES IT TAKE TO SPING A KENNE BELL AND SHOULD I DO A VIDEO COMPARING VARIOUS BLOWERS FOR POWER CONSUMPTION AND FLOW AND TEMPS?

Yes would absolutely love to see more data about how different superchargers compare in efficiency, especially between other twin screw but also in other supercharger types.

Interesting comment on KB having a more efficient/better rotor design than Whipple. Didn’t know that!

I would like to see a junkyard d15 with ring gap , better intake, and header. There is a better stock honda intake than the d series one. I dont know which one. Im sure you do. I think this would appeal to alot of people and get many comments.

@@richardholdener1727 I dont have a d16 in my crx and alot of people have d15 engines in their cars. If i wanted to do an engine swap i would go with a k20 or 24.

From my experience 10-12% losses for the roots type a bit less for the screw type 8-10% especialy at higher boost they are more efficient and for the centri about 5-6% . it depends mostly at belt width length weight and tensioner for the losses

the belt does not determine the design or power consumption differences between the three blowers

@@richardholdener1727 i didnt express it right every blower is about there but the losses of each one depends on the belt weight design tensioner. a 4 rib belt without a pulley tensioner 1feet long will have less losses than a 6 rib with a pulley tensioner 2 feet long since less weight/inertia friction of puley bearing during acceleration for each given blower

I don't think VMP makes blowers, they use Eaton rotor packs

Could you over drive them to lower pressure. Change pulley sizes to get the boost levels you want and not change the amount of power you need

Im still a little curious how a blower that required 100 plus hp to drive at even high boost levels wouldn't have added any power to the ls3. Even it it lost hp would it gain 100 ft of tq just off idle cause the blower is so small and only efficient at very low rpm on huge motor in comparison. Or pulley it way up or way down depending on pully location and spin it to max blower speed at 3000 rpm and then stop the run.

@richardholdener1727 at 15 psi you said Kenne bell said it required 100 plus hp to drive at 14000 rpm so I'm assuming restricted pretty heavy. You restricted to a lower psi and made what 5 psi of back pressure and used estimated 40 hp to drive. In that video I asked why not hook it up to the tb and tune it. See what happens. You said a blower that small ain't adding in hp to a 400 hp ls. I agree but why not see what it does underthe curve, low rpm and spinning it harder to see what happens?

THE BLOWER NEVER HAS ENOUGH FLOW TO SUPPORT THE NA POWER LEVEL OF THE 440-HP MOTOR, AT ANY RPM
