The white top doesn't absorb sunlight(heat) nearly as much as a darker color. You two need to ease up on whatever it is you're smokin.... Wow! Yes, it's obvious. Glad you cut it open. Half assed foam job in there. Is the lid insulated?

This is a cooler that fits in the packout system, they have to compromise insulation thickness for capacity. It's a lunch box for packout. This will get your lunch and drinks through the day pretty easily I bet. This isn't for camping, it's for worksites.

@@davewood406 Yeah, I don't have any issues with the thickness of the walls. What I have an issue with is a cooler at this price point not having completed foam coverage in those walls. Lots of empty gaps in there. And I like my coolers to have insulated lids. A little foam in the lid really increases their retention time. Since you mentioned camping, I think the packout system would be awesome for camping. Think of all the gear and non-perishables you could get in the rolling box, a couple of large tool boxes and a couple of these on top. Roll it in, set up camp and roll it out. Think of the possible options. A Packout table top, cutting board, Packout Grill/stove, Packout Saddle bags for extra storage on the sides, Packout M18 fridge, M18 coffee maker, Packout potable water tank, sink, etc etc.

Timmy L You should have cut the lid and half. To show if the top is insulated. Of course the sides and bottom are insulated but what separates other colors from say a Yeti is the top is insulated . I know that I’ve taken multiple different coolers that the lid was not insulated and I insulated them and it made it a night and day difference. you have to drill holes on the inside of the lid multiple so that when the foam expands the air has a place to go. it makes a world of difference. So again you cut the cooler in half but the lid is the number one place that the cold escapes and the heat melts the ice . I guess Milwaukee is paying not to do that

The size of the cooler is dead on i own one and have been using it for the last month and gladly replaced my other cooler I do remodeling and carry this with me everyday to keep from wasting money on food and drinks

The packout system is nice but the tops have those slots that you know water and dirt are going to collect they should make a flat top surface that goes on top so don't worry about turning it over to get water and dirt out

If you want a packout cooler, it has to fit in the system. This isn't about quality, this is a balance of capacity and insulation thickness within the system constraints. If this sells, maybe the big bottom box with wheels can be made into a cooler... This probably gets you through a workday just fine. it isn't for camping trips.
