Batu Caves is so big, so is the Hindu statue! The stair there is colorful, but the monkeys are bad! Have you ever been to Fo Guang Shan temple in Kaohsiung? The Buddha statues there are also huge! The mango popsicles look delicious and healthy if not sweet! That drink is so fun, you drink it without stirring! Now it turns out that meeting local friends while traveling is a big deal, they can help you get to know everything about the local area and handle everything for you! You did a really great job, thanks a lot for sharing!👍😄👏

I have been to KL 5 times as 2/3 day stopovers to travel to other parts of Malaysia. Many tourists don't go to Wilayat Mosque, King's Palace and National Monument but I have been there myself. Batu Caves is one of the most popular attractions in KL. Petronas Towers at night is awesome and the fountain show in the evening is awesome

The Tugu Negara was designed by the same person who designed the War Memorial in Arlington, VA. It was bombed once in the 1970s I think, by the communist. The tall cenotaph was actually located near the train station, but was eventually moved to give way for Kuala Lumpur’s first ever flyover to be built, now known as Jalan Kinabalu. The Kuala Lumpur Train Station is not the oldest, but it is one of the prettiest, built in 1911. It is still in use for Komuter and ETS service, plus it is an interchange station with the Pasar Seni LRT/MRT (you have to walk up north like 5 minutes).

And since railroad stations in England were specified to have an iron roof capable of withstanding snow, the railway station will be able to support up to three metres worth of snowfall. Can you imagine Kuala Lumpur covered with snow?

It is the focal point of the Tamil festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia. Batu Caves in short also referred as 10th Caves or Hill for Lord Murugan as there are six important holy shrines in India and four more in Malaysia.

Nick, didn't you go into the mosque? I think you are allowed to go in (at specified hours) and even have a tour guide (free). Try National Mosque and Putrajaya Mosque as well. National Palace is the Official Palace for the Agong (Malaysian King) - they rotate amongst the Kings of the States for a duration of about 5 years before they change to another King. - they are the official protector of the country and religion and do play a role in solving disputes amongst the politicians/ruling government and opposition cabinet members. Religion is a must in Malaysia (in the identity card at least) as the very first of our National Principles (Rukun Negara) is "Belief in God".

25:47 Actually, only Muslim's ID card have their religion printed on the card. Non-muslim (Buddhist, Christian, Hindu etc.) citizens don't have their religion printed on it. But all citizen's ID info including religion are stored and still can be accessed in the electronic chip of the ID card and in the database of the National Registration Department. For marriage between couple of different religion, if both are not Muslim, then there is no restriction at all. But for Muslim, the one that are not Muslim must convert to Islam, and not other way around. Since converting out of Islam (in terms of law) is very difficult, and there have been numorous court battles in Malaysia, some are successful on converting out of Islam, but some are not, especially for ethnic Malay. This is also often a sensitive topic in Malaysia as converting out of Islam is forbidden according to Islam's creed.

26:37 Sharia law on Islamic marriage only applies to Muslims marrying non-Muslims in Malaysia. It does not affect non-Muslims. Non-Muslims are bound by the secular civil contract law. As long as you're non-Muslim and you're marrying a non-Muslim, it doesn't matter if you're a Christian getting married to a Taoist or a Hindu getting married to a Buddhist who decides to keep to their religion. Anyway, back to Islam, at least in accordance to Sunni tradition, Muslims are not permitted to marry non-Muslims unless those non-Muslims convert to Islam to marry you. Hence, if you're a non-Muslim and you wish to marry a Muslim, then you have to convert to Islam in Malaysia. Non-Muslims are allowed to convert to Islam. However, unfortunately, the Sharia court does not approve of Muslims leaving Islam, even to marry non-Muslims.
