In high school, just before I had sculpture class(art school), right before lunch ended, my best friend offered me 1 singular peanut m&m, we had just come back from the corner store, and she’s a nice person so of course she offered me one. I took it and of course ate it. I like to think of myself as an intuitive person. Right after swallowing the bell rang, and I was like, nawwww, imma walk home, I don’t wanna do pottery today. I told my friends, them of course confused as to why I was just up and leaving(Also we ate right in from of the sculpture room), but they said bye and I grabbed my bag and walked home. About 15 minutes of long legged speed walking, I made it the full 9 blocks home. I walk up my front stairs to the front door, open the entrance-door, walk to my apartment, go in, and proceed to immediately *almost* have liquid diarrhea in my pants, lucky I was right next to the bathroom and swiftly whipped open the door and plopped on the toilet. That was the day I learned I was allergic to peanuts and haven’t been able to eat peanut butter since without almost shitting myself lmao. Thanks for reading my stupid story.

The center was a sort of soft chocolate with a dulce de leche cream mixed in, rather than straight caramel. There was this elusive m&m called Strawberry peanut that was pretty solid. Sure it was just a peanut m&m with a hint of strawberry flavor in the chocolate, but it did the job more then I can say about the white chocolate. Also if you like English Toffee, the m&m version is also pretty solid too.

So I had a mate I used to hang out with from my senior year of high school going on for about 4 years after we both graduated and we were up to the usual shenanigans going into college. Anyways, I discovered videos about the infamous M&Ms kart racing game that came out on the Wii and after showing him, we made a running joke between us a line from the game (APPROACHING SOUND BARRIER). Combine that with us going to the movies and making fun of the M&Ms ads along with the “silence your cell phones now” being sponsored by the candy itself, we found ourselves making some dumb but fun humor over chocolate. So I took the time myself to try every variety I could find for the hell of it and since then I’ll make it a priority to try any new ones whenever they come out. I hope you’re doing well Nick, miss the fun times we used to have and I hope you’ve been reaching your dreams after all these years. Thanks for joining me for this story of friendship and candy👍
