I know this is old, but it’s great fun watching someone play this and seeing just how broken it really is. There’s actually a lot that I’m unhappy about with this. The special stages, broken transitions - so many bugs. Back then, I didn’t have a flash cart to really test with so I’m not surprised it doesn’t work. This whole project started with trying to add act transitions. Then after that, I was like “can I port the Sonic 3 save screen?”; short answer - sort of. Also, it’s entirely possible I’m working on a completely rewritten version… :) Anyway, I enjoy watching you videos. Keep it up!

The only thing I'm questioning is the fact that the developer changed the sprite to me the sonic 2 sprite is the perfect representation of Classic Sonic (minus the shade of blue)

Good luck playin this on the real deal, crashes right when the stage loads up. Tried it with Everdrive X5 on Genesis Model 2, crashed right when the tiles for Emerald Hill popped up.

I give this props and thumbs up however I would love this game to have other characters besides Sonic Knuckles and Tails. If they could come up with Rouge bunny Sally and Amy if something like this with the S3 Edition, it will be the s*** for me. Oh hell yes.. Maybe throw shadow or jet up in there. I don't know

This hack doesn't work on real hardware, it crashes the moment the Emerald Hill title card is seen. I've posted this before but my comments keep getting erased.

IIRC, this hack didn't want to work with Regen either, so it's no surprise it doesn't work on real hardware. As for your comments being removed, I didn't delete them; nor are they in my spam, so I'm not sure what's happening there =/

+redhotsonic Regen is quite a good source for reliability of hacks on whether they're gonna run or not on real hardware because Regen is designed to be closer to the original Mega Drive/Genesis than say, Gens or Kega Fusion. Also I wasn't accusing you of removing my posts, my older comments were actually replies and the only thing I can think of is the original posts by whoever I was replying to removed their comments, and when that happens the entire replied thread associated with that comment bites the dust aswell.

​@@redhotsonic No emulator wants to load the game by that point. I got a MacBook Pro for Christmas and I downloaded an emulator. And I tried this hack first. And it crashed during the EHZ title card. (I use my MacBook as my main device now. I used to use Windows) I've been told v.11.1 is stable from a comment, but that crashed too. Oh and 6:29 to finish it off. Sonic Retro says: "Some zone transitions will lock the controls, not allowing the transition to happen. However, resetting the game will let you start in the next zone as if nothing happened"
