Looks interesting! Except for the mods that I strongly prefer to not have in my game. Just an example of when I wish that modpacks could be modular. My best answer so far is to make my own private pack.

And yeah you can make your own but it is a lot of work to get the quality of integrations some of these packs have. I’m seeing this firsthand for a pack that I’m involved in developing. There must be 100+ hours of customization into it. Never mind the testing.

Heyo! If I remember correctly, Heat Generators are lava-loggable. Just like some blocks are waterloggable. Logging it with lava also increases the generation factor. The Mekanism Quests are finished for 1.0 as well, I just committed them last night!

Yeah..... the cables in front are lava-loggable too. I didn't have enough lava anyway. I wish I mentioned it though -- I realized during editing that I didn't. So much to think about when recording! You're the quest editor? or are you AK? Either way, love the questbook. very well done :)

I've mainly done Mekanism, Modern Industrialization, Getting Started and about 1/3 of AE2 (I write a lot so I dont get as many quests done as the others). Plus worked on format and placement of quests in Powah. Thank you for the compliment! I take pride in making sure the player doesn't need to touch google for a mod wiki (plus there's some jokes and references in various quests to provide a little laughter here and there. I hope you enjoy!

I'm not sure if that can be brought back. I'll look into it and reply again if I can find it. Honestly though, if you're going to play modded, take some time to get good with EMI/JEI. It's really powerful and useful!

@@jangrogames I'm new to this and I found that, for example, it was simpler with the basic book if, say, I retrieved a block from a modded tree with the default book I could see everything I could craft with it, whereas with JEI I have access to everything without really knowing what the block I've retrieved can be used for.

​@@daavryl I definitely get how it's overwhelming if you're new! When you have the block from the modded tree, right click on it (or hit 'u' when hovering over it) to see it's uses. Then you can see everything it's used for crafting, and you can drill up and down with left and right clicks.

hey does anyone know what mod gives you the minimap where you can see caves and stuff when you start mining and go under the surface

Xaero's minimap and JourneyMap give you views of the caves. I've always loved Xaero's in particular, but have been playing recently with the one in this pack (FTBchunks) and I'm actually really enjoying not being able to see everything underground. You need to rely on other ways to find structures like maps and other methods that some mods include. Like the Ars Nouveau divining rod finds budding amethyst, making it possible to find a geode.

Hey. The g key changes the mode. You may have to resolve a key conflict.

It's a sandbox pack, so you sort of choose. There's no official end that I'm aware of. If you're a completionist, get all the quest book rewards. There's a section in the quest book for completing all the major mods. But there's way more in the pack than what's there. End Game Mekanism, Modern Industrialization, and PneumaticCraft are also good ways as you get entirely OP. But for some, that's where it starts :)

There's a comment below to try Prism Launcher rather than Curseforge to resolve the lag. I haven't had that problem personally, so it's hard to say.

@jangrogames Yes, I'm decently far in the pack. Just hit the "mid game age!" Point in Modern Industrial. Got AE up and decently automated 👍. I was just curious as to see what other players have done. Sometimes, go a couple of videos in see if there's anything I can pick up

There are a lot of resource packs in Craftoria. Pretty sure it's Fresh Animations.

​@jangrogames fresh animations adds animation to mobs movement, it doesnt change the texture in such a way, like whichever resource pack is at play, changing the villagers at 0:33 to look like that

The heat generators must have been producing about half the energy they are capable of. I found with earlier versions it is fairly easy to use a single bucket of lava to power 4 heat gens to their basic "5 sides" level of output. I still need to check it out in my 1.21 world.

You are correct. Especially the middle one. I didn’t have enough lava though. I was disappointed In myself during editing that I missed mentioning that. I usually spread them out by a block so the lava flows between. I wonder if I lavalogged them if it would also act as heat for its neighbor.

I like the modpack since I’ve been playing it for a while and its fun but a bit laggy here and there maybe every 30 minutes to an hour or every time I load new chunks but other than that it’s pretty fun

I don't have problems with lag, but I've seen others expressing that. They're working on it and updating the pack, so hopefully those issues will get resolved!

Hey. Are you using curseforge? There's apparently an issue with the Overwolf bundled Curseforge that causes lag. To resolve, uninstall it and install the standalone curseforge. Or use Prism. You can copy your saves over if you change launchers.

Hey. It's a "sandbox" modpack, so you can just do what you want. This series shows my approach, which would certainly get you started, but there are lots of directions you can go. You can use the quest book to help you see what's there, though it's only a subset of all the mods in the pack. I'll continue to cover mod intros in this series.

How does this modpack compare to All the mods 9?

That's a big question. First of all, ATM9 is on Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge and Craftoria is 1.21.1 NeoForge, so there are all those differences. There are just more mods available on 1.20.1 than 1.21.1 at this point. ATM10 is more on par with Craftoria as it is also 1.21.1 NeoForge. I haven't played ATM9 actually or ATM10 very much ( I tried ATM10 early on, and it's changed a lot since then), but I have played ATM8 so my answer is just more subjective. I feel like ATM has even more mods in it, and prioritizes getting as much in as possible. I also assume it has it's standard ATM mod pack goals for completion (make the star). It feels to me like the Craftoria team is putting more into balancing the pack to make sure there are no mods that overshadow the rest, which I appreciate. Otherwise, I think you'd do well to just look at the mods included to see if what's in there is of interest. Or try them out to see how they feel.

So this is jsut my suggestion, but instead of the heavy focus on Mekanism for a pack spotslight, I think you might get more mileage out of showing more of what the pack has to offer. Mek is great, but it's a mod that's been around for literally forever now, pretty old hat in that regard. I'd personally like to see more of what makes the pack unique, even if its jsut a super brief introduction to a wider variety of content.

Super fun pack, but I do have to say this is currently unplayable on apex hosting. The modpack's server pack has broken Unix arguments so it will not run on any hosting service or Linux, you have to host on a Windows machine.

But... I've been playing it on Apex. And they have it in their mod-pack picker. I haven't updated it to the newest version yet on my server though. I just ask the support team to install/update it, so maybe they fixed somthing?

@@jangrogames weird, maybe they have a different version compiled, my friend was dealing with it and we were going with hosting the custom jar. We but a bug report on the modpack's git because we were able to reproduce on a local Linux machine.

For me, the jetpack ruins the experience of any modpack, it is totally broken and too cheap, the first tiers already surpass the elytra and you don't even need to go to the nether to craft them.

@jangrogames oh nah I didn't mean it like a bad thing; different KZbinrs have different styles. And different isn't bad at all! You may not have much early game but that probably means you focus more on the later parts, which, let's face it; it can get very complex and so lots of people will probably prefer that. Just for me I'm horrible with combat so the more combat involved packs I like a good intro is all :) hope you're having fun playing! This was my first video I watched of yours and do like ya style. :)

I hear you. It's 1.21 so Create's not available yet. maybe it'll get added when it is. Honestly I haven't played a pack without Create in years, and it's a nice change. Create's probably my favorite all time mod and it's actually a nice change to be forced to not use it. There are some mods that I've never played through, like Theurgy, Occultism, and Modern Industrialization. I'm not missing it.
