Way cheaper than the Ocean Gate expedition -and safer, too.

When I went there , one of employees there at grandstaircase kept telling folks this is actual movie set from James Cameron. I freaked out. As titanic guy for more than 20years , I can tell this exhibition is unprofessional. Movie was filmed in Rosalito Mexico and every piece of movie set was scrapped after they have done it. Grandstarcase was bulit on top of huge pool to film flooding scene and it was heavily damaged. Also it was made bigger than the actual size for actors. The one we saw at Titanic exhibit L.A is not a movie set. They didn't even recreate cherub accurately. There is no movie set exist anymore except props like life jacket , Dinner Plate....etc.

I was told the same thing too! That’s crazy! Thanks for the info

@@petitevagabond This exhibition is cash grab for those who are not familiar with Titanic. I hope you visit one in Vagas and Tennessee.They recreated grandstaircase way more accurate close to movie set.

@James wow I was looking forward to going, now I'm not so sure I want to go😔😔

@@eliseshaw6993I would recommend if this is $10 exhibit, but it actually cost $40 to get in and the quality is not that great. I couldn't even find the single artifacts recovered from Titanic. If you've already been to Titanic museums (legit ones) I'm sure this is going to be huge disappointment. Save your money and go to real exhibitions.

Well blame the company putting it together, not the employees. The main exhibit video says it is from the set so i’m assuming that’s what the employees were told.

Honestly, when I when I went to this expedition I was kind of disappointed. There was not a single artifact that was actually from the Titanic, there was artifacts from the Olympic or other white star line ships.
@petitevagabond Жыл бұрын
Yes I think this is true. I still think it was cool to see the movie set there, and artifacts from other ships that would’ve been similar to the Titanic’s, but I totally see your point!

To treat a place that was created to honor the hundreds of people who horrifically lost their lives as a tourist attraction displays a lack of empathy and humanity that is disgraceful. Anyone who doesn’t have the maturity or wisdom to act appropriately in the Titanic museum has no right stepping foot inside.

They literally invited me to film and share a video so people could learn about it :)

Thank you !! I thought I was going crazy for thinking this!! 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 as soon as I seen this I was really upset. Imagine if this was done with world war 2? Or with the towers. People would lose their shit. This isn’t “ history “ this is quite literally playing a game to see if your person gets out. ( you’ve given a name of a Person and you’re told if they life or die) and also did you know they have got some water there that was the exact temperature? And you can put your hand in it and see how long you will last with your hand in it? That’s sick! People died. This isn’t just learning about the titanic this is making it into a “ fun experience “ and a “ movie set “ wTF.

Titanic grand stairs isn’t from the movie don’t know who told you that it’s not even close, it looks nearly plastic and is actually not accurate. 🥴 also the corridors are not titanic either, their just corridors. Original titanic corridors had gold leaf across the top and was far more grander..

The employees there tell everyone that, but as it turns out, a lot of people have commented on IG saying every expo says the same exact thing 🙃
