Possibly the fastest kill can be done (That technically leaves you unnoticed) is throwing an explosive duck at him down the hallway he walks down at the beginning, if you can go undercover in the kitchen, then just run out of there.

Charles YT Yep, go to Labyrinthian, enter the shrine, put on the Wooden Mask, put the other masks on their respective busts, and then you get the Konahrik mask. Then you can also take back the other masks once you're done. It's not a quest, but Konahrik is a pretty kickass piece of loot, so I'd say it's worth doing.

i want to know how to get the masks. are they in solstheim? i dont know everything about in skyrim and i downloaded the legendary edition. so i discover things that i dont know if theyre vanilla or dlc.

Charles YT All of the masks for the shrine can be found in vanilla Skyrim areas. I don't remember all of the locations, but I know one of them can only be found by completing most of the main College of Winterhold questline, and another can only be found near the end of the game's main questline. The rest you should probably look up or find on your own, because most of them are just in random crypts/dungeons littered throughout the world, and one of them is at the top of a mountain. I used to know this stuff like the back of my hand, but it's been a couple years.
