Beautiful. Brings tears to my eyes for the lost each time I hear it

This is wonderfull, really great. The Old Moody Church was greatly used of God [ Without the Church taking a lawsuit to The Supreme Court in Duncan v Lutzer and The Moody Churh which Law Report is I understand now redacted ]. I would like to see and hear old Sankey hymns sung in The Moody Church to the Glory of God and the uplifting of the saints the real Children of God. May our Great God richly bless your ministry, and also encourage other people in an age of materialism and worldliness unsurpassed in world history. Blessings. David Tether.

Rev Bliss. I am from a tiny Caribbean island and grew up in the 70's hearing my mother signing this song so often particularly in early morning worship. Not knowing it was written in the 1800's by someone in Ohio. Brings back so much memories.

I love the music of Bliss...what a lifetime of great music he performed in only 38 years of life. The wreck was on 12/29/76 due to faulty bridge construction. I've seen pictures of it before the collapse...it was an accident waiting to happen and tragically did. Both the designer and builder of the bridge committed suicide in the next year out of remorse for their roles in the event. Preach the Word, brother!

I read about this song in a book 30 years ago. I think it was possibly "The Story Behind The Song" by Moody Press in Chicago-- a Great Lakes City, so that would make sense....

Yes, I believe you are sick.....as YOU, yourself said. Accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour in your heart, by faith, and he will save you. HIS word says...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved
